I approached me and Brandon's room. The door slowly creaked open. Brandon was lying out stretched on his bed. Soft snores escaped from his mouth. I walked closer. The rain was thrumming outside. He must be a sound sleeper. His dusty copper-brown hair was covering his face. I lightly brushed my hand over it. I swept it away from his eyes. My hand lightly grazed his cheek. All of a sudden, his dark brown eyes fluttered open in confusion. My eyes widened and I started to feel sweaty. My heart was thumping as hard as the rain outside.Brandon's POV
Her hand was soft. As soft as a feather..... Her dark green eyes seemed to stare into mine for a while. I smile.
"Good morning." I say, seeming to snap her back to reality.
"NOTHING! I WASN'T DOING ANYTHING!" She instantly shouts jumping back. I laugh.
"Ok! Whatever you saaaaaaaayyyyyy." I tease. I walk out the door and to the kitchen. Molly and Gus are eating pancakes.
"Here! Have some pancakes! Feather made them herself." Molly said, handing me a plate. Feather comes in as soon as I take a bite of the pancakes. Oh my gosh! These are pretty good! I finished off the stack of pancakes. We then talk about today's plans. I plan on reading a book, or two, maybe try my hand at writing? Feather stays oddly quiet.I'll talk to her later. Gus plans on checking his stock, and Molly plans to decorate the house. The two go off to their rooms. . I scoot my chair next to Feather's. She was just staring at the rain.
"Hey Feather. What do you plan on doing today?" I ask her, in attempt to strike a conversation.
"Oh........I plan on making furniture, Since Molly was complaining of the lack of it." She chuckles. She then gets quiet.
"Look I'm sorry-" We both start in unison. I look at her as we both laugh. She then becomes quiet again.
"Brandon..........I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't mean to-" She started before I interrupted her.
"You have nothing to apologize for. It's cool. Let's just forget about it? Okay?" I said. She nodded as She continued to stare at the rain
Feather's POV
I eventually got up and went to my work bench. I began crafting decorations such as lamps, dressers, and statues. I also forged myself a new sword. Neat! I helped molly decorate and Ignored the continually claps of thunder. Soon, It became darker outside and the yawns from my roommates say that it's nighttime. Molly and Gus escape to their rooms. Brandon and I shoot the breeze until I start yawning.
"Well. That's my cue. I'm off to sleep. Night,' I call out to Brandon. I enter our room and I take my spot on the floor. I felt my self slowly start to drift off before someone burst through the door. I groan as I pull my self to see who it it.
"Oh! Sorry! Did I wake you up?" Brandon apologized.
"Na.........I was about drift off." I explain. He sits on the edge of his bed.
"Are you sure you're alright on the floor? I remember having to sleep on it and It was pretty uncomfortable.' Brandon said.
"Which is the reason why YOU should have the bed." I laugh.
"W-ww-what? N-no! That's not what I mean!" He retorts. I giggle. I turn back on my side.
"Goodnight Brandon." I chuckle.
"Goodnight Feather, Sweet dreams." He said. I could've sworn he said something else but it was probably apart of my imagination.
Brandon's POV
"Good night Feather, Sweet dreams." I say,"I love you."
