Feather's point of view
And just like that. With a quick shove....
I was on fire.
I let out a pained scream as the flames raced along my skin. I tried to scramble around, and with much flailing, I managed to grab my bag, and my magic mirror.
Brandon's point of view
I took a deep breath as I looked out at the setting sun. My eyes drifted towards the pond, my reflection staring up at me. I frowned and looked at the bandage on my arm. With a quick rip, I threw the bandage onto the ground.
"AAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" I heard someone scream. All of a sudden, Feather dropped onto the ground, engulfed in flames.
I jumped back as the screams became louder.
"Feather?!!" I scream as I looked at her body flopping on the ground. I quickly rushed to her side.
This isn't good
This isn't good
This isn't good
This isn't good
This isn't good
This isn't good
She's gonna die...
She's gonna die
She's gonna die!!
BRANDON! STOP PANICKING!
Feather let out another blood-chilling scream.
"BRANDON! HELP ME!" Feather screamed.
My mind swirled with thoughts as Feather choked out another sob.
I...
Umm... I-- I...
WHAT DO I DO?!??
I looked towards the pond and got an idea.
I dropped down to my knees and picked Feather up. Flames licked at my arms. Wincing in pain, I stood up and held her close to me.
Feather had tears falling down her face.
"B...Brandon.... It... Hurts..."
And almost instantly after she said that, I threw her into the water and waded in after her.
Feather rose to the surface of the water, Coughing weakly. Almost all of her armor burned away and she was covered in scorch marks. Some patches on her clothes were completely burned away, leaving raw skin, red and charred.
I swam over to her and held her again. A large exhale of relief escaped from my lungs when I realized that she was still alive.
Her eyes were closed shut and her upper lip was quivering. I carefully shifted her in my arms, To make sure that I wasn't directly touching the burns.
I took off her helmet.
I knew I should be worried right now, But I felt eerily calm. Just..... Staring at her face..... It.... Made me feel nice.... Holding her in my arms.... I.... Felt relived.... She's back home..
I watched as tears started splashing on her cheek. I smiled as I continued crying tears of relief.
I hugged Feather tight as I stood there in the water. She tightly held onto me too, crying as well.
