"I'm home!" I yell as I walk into the house.

"Hey! How'd it go?" Logan walked up.

"Great," I smiled as I set my keys and purse down.

"Logan," I started.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Someone asked if I wanted to be a singer..."

"Do you?" He looked at me serious.

"K-Kinda but I don't know, because of the baby."

"If you want to do a couple demos or so I can hook you up with someone," He offered.

"I guess..." I agreed.

"Okay, tomorrow we can meet up with a guy I know?"

"Sure."

"First you need a song, got any?" He asked.

"Not really," I thought.

"Well, you've always been amazing at writing poems and such, you'd be an amazing songwriter, you should write a song," He suggested.

Is this really what I want? My heart is screaming yes, but my brain says no because of the baby.

I went upstairs while Logan went to cook and grabbed my book of poems from way before I even laid eyes on Logan.

I flipped through all the poems and found this one about my ex before Logan. The top was plastered with the word boy at the top.

Since I knew a little bit of guitar I grabbed Logan's and randomly sung the words to my old poem, Boy.

I called you a sweet, boy.

Your nothing but weak, boy.

Yeah, your nothing but weak, boy.

I called you a loud, boy.

You're only a bad boy

You're just not enough, boy.

And I blame your mother.

I blame your father.

Since you have a brother,

I'll blame his mother.

I wish I never laid my eyes on that pretty face of yours

You have a heart that only a mother could love.

I wanted a tree, boy.

But you gave me a leaf, boy.

It's nothing to me, boy.

I gave you the world, boy.

Without a return, boy.

Now i'm just hurt, boy.

I'll plant it and see, boy.

Now you watch it grow, boy.

Long after I leave, boy.

Long after I leave.

And I blame your mother.

I blame your father.

Since you have a brother,

I'll blame his mother.

I gave you the world, boy.

Without a return, boy.

Now I'm just hurt, boy.

I don't know why I chose that song, but I did. It doesn't describe Logan and I at all, but it's such a amazing poem to me that I should sing it. So i'm choosing that one.
