I was alone at the airport, probably my close second least favorite place, patiently awaiting Big Time Rush to land. I was so excitedly body confused it for being anxious, as my legs tapped vigorously.
"Hey Amanda!"
I turned around and seen the man I love dropping his luggage and holding his arms up. I ran up to him and jumped into his arms.
"I'm so glad you're back, I missed you so much," I exclaimed.
Around us the airport crowd rushed out, eager to leave. Logan and I embraced the moment though. When we parted, I welcomed the other boys and embraced them as well.
"Alright let's head out and get some lunch, I am dying of starvation!" I said.
We headed to Applebee's, our longtime favorite - possibly where we go almost every time they come home, to meet Alexa. The boys told their favorite stories of the trip, interrupting each other with every moment mentioned.
Logan and I walked into the restaurant hand in hand for the first time in what felt like years. It felt so nice to be at home once again.
Alexa was already inside waiting when we walked inside. She greeted Carlos with an excited hug and many kisses. They didn't care if people stared, which I understood. Many people often overlook one of the hardest parts of being in a relationship with a famous singer - you have to spend months and months away from each other frequently. It's just the name of the game. That moment you're reunited with the love of your life after watching them online meet thousands of people and preform, it's an exciting feeling. The main thing that gets you through is imagining - and sometimes seeing - the smiles on their faces as they light up an arena doing what they love most. Dreams do come true, and seeing theirs unfold is what makes it all worthwhile. Not to mention the exciting day they come home and share their stories. The public wouldn't understand all that, but that's okay because Alexa and I do.
