Hey it's Angel and here's some background on the poem. So I'm sorry I haven't updated in a while, I've kinda been working on my book notes, but I really wanted to write more poems. Anyways, as you may have noticed the poem is melancholy. I kinda got in a major fight with my dad and stepmom a few days ago, and what they said to me was heartbreaking. My stepmom called me the B-word and my dad got mad when I told my mom the I had gotten into a fight with my dad and stepmom. And I actually blamed myself for telling her, but she told me it's ok I have the right to tell her and he can't tell me not to. I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before but my dad told me one time after when my stepmom was mad that I would be the reason he and my stepmom got into a divorce, but Everything ended up being fine although I was uncomfortable to return for about a week, and this time my stepmom she would divorce my dad because of me. And I began hyperventilating, I blamed myself for the fight and everything because it all started with something I said but after I told my mom she said I had done nothing wrong, yet I still feel guilty, and um well that's what the poem is about. And how I feel heartbroken from all of the emotional and verbal abuse because although no one can see it, it hurts on the inside and every word becomes another scar to my heart. So anyways um well kinda awkward but I hope you understand, and if you have any advice or similar stories I'd love to hear it. (Btw if you want I can tell you the full story of the fight but it's pretty long and I'm not sure anyone would be interested anyway so um what you just read was kinda an abbreviation) anyways bye.
