Past is so over far behind yet ashes still rain from a fire lost in time. The sirens still echo in my ears. I watch as others fight away the tears. Somehow I am fortunate, but not all the rest. Is this hell? Never shall we know. But as we hope it is over we watch the fire grow, raining ashes down below.

AN:
As many of you know I had a close call with a fire earlier this summer, and it almost crossed the fence into my backyard (well one of my backyards) unfortunately fires are common where I live and it's still fire season. Recently there has been a large fire near my mom's and grandparents house, luckily we are not at risk because the fire resides on the other side of the freeway, however ashes and smoke still fill the air. And it seems to be a common theme of fires this summer because recently I went out of state (since I refuse to say exactly where I live let's say from state A to State B) and at my hotel in state B the fire alarm went off, fortunately it was only sparks and an electrical fire did not start, but we were forced to evacuate the building while the fire department investigated to be sure of the cause and that there was no risk. (This was about 2-3weeks ago now probably) and now yet again I am being encountered by the issue of fire. Luckily no evacuating this time.
