"You were not supposed to tell her," my mother growled.

"I didn't tell her," I brushed off sitting back on the armrest she sat on. "We were talking and she kissed me,"

"The girl has power over you, Son," my dad sighed looking over to my mother. "Meaning those who get their hands on her have power over you,"

"She isn't as docile as you think her to be, dad. Her mother alone has conquered most of the wolf world. She has resources, she is trained. This is what makes a wolf. We have a supernatural instinct that is beyond human intellect. We have a good advantage but she has the advantage of the beast that resides in her. No vampire would go against a fully shifted wolf and come back a victor. Which is why we had made them the enemy. The moon goddess has brought us together. You said as long as I did what I need to do for the coven I was free to be with my mate,"

"And if the wolves don't approve? What will you do then, Son? How will this end for the two of you?"

I sat down and looked up at my parents who wanted a real answer. They were desperate to know if this was the right decision for our coven. Never had this happened before so there are no real answers to what is happening. I had searched for months now. There hasn't been a joining like this before. None of us know why this is happening.

"There is no other way," I sighed. "She is mine and if I can't have her no one can,"

My dad didn't like my answer. He looked away from me and it killed me inside to have said that out loud. They won't take her from me. Now that she knows she is mine there will be nothing to take her away. I'd end anyone who dared to keep her from me.

Marcel:

"You have a big problem," Jay burst into my room. He's trying to get Tobias off my armchair. "Get off, Tobi,"

"He said he's trying to find out why," I sat back Zero laying on my bed with his head on my lap.

"It's the will of the goddess we need another answer?" he asked making me smile.

"Where is your mate?"

"She went home for a few days to gather her things. I was going to go but my mom said no and my dad said I needed to stay here with you. That it's my duty," we both laughed. 

"What am I going to do Jay? Why me?"

"Tobi, get off you stupid wolf," Tobi grunted staying the chair. "I give up. Stay there. I'll sit on the floor,"

"Tobi bed," I commanded. He got up and went to the massive bed I had built for them. Zero got up and went over to his brother.

"Thanks," Jay smiled and dusted the hair of the red velvet chair and sat down. "Does it really matter Marcy? You obviously like him he said he's in love with you and you guys are mated like full hard on you're mine mates,"

"Is everything that comes out of your mouth some sexual innuendo?"

"No, I tell her she's the most beautiful, and I am the luckiest fucker to have her," I laughed.

"You are an ass hole," 

"Yeah," he shrugged scratching the back of his head. "Tony likes it though. I'm falling in love with her,"

"No, offense but you are whipped, bro. Antonia is lucky to have you. You are a great person to have around when shit sucks," he smirked.

"Thanks, bro," I laughed at his response.

"Are you ready for this?" I asked tossing him the file I had to sign declaring him my official Beta.

"I am," he nodded looking it over. "Look, Marcel, I know you think that you aren't but that just proves that you are. You can do this. Your mom was seventeen when she took over and look at how far she has come. You were born for this. You are at the top of your class in both leading and combat. You aren't exactly Cinderella, bro. You are like a Maleficent. You are super good inside but bitchy on the outside. So that no one fucks with you,"

"So you are my raven?"

"Yeah, I am your Diablo," I laughed.

"Tony, makes you watch princess movies doesn't she," 

"No, actually I watch them with my mom and your dad," I laughed.

"I believe you,"

"Now you really are the vampire princess," 

"Hey, you two," we looked at the doorway to see my mom walking in with my baby brother.

"Hey," I greeted them smiling.

"So, we have to get something formal for the prince of darkness's party," the way she says it annoys me. Jay is the first to notice. He sighed scratching the back of his neck.

"Alpha Martak, if we are going to form an alliance with the vampires. I think the mocking needs to stop," he spoke up much to my surprise. I looked up at my best friend with a smile. He's right. We're ready for this.

"I can agree with that," I added.

"You've never heard the way they talk about us," she smirked setting Micah down. 

Last minute, mom decided to break the rules of our tradition. She didn't want to give my brother our signature name of the King. She's always breaking the rules. Maybe it's time I take a page from her book and run with it.
