I woke up in my bed, memories of last night flooding my brain.
I remembered the ball, breaking up with Flame Prince and giving Marshall a second chance. Then I remembered Marshall bringing me up to my room, and going to sleep with me. I turned over onto my side and noticed Marshall was gone.
Alright. He probably had to leave for something.
I decided to get up and get dressed. I put on my back-pack and walked downstairs.
"Cake?" No answer. She must be with Lord Monochrome again. I grabbed an apple and head outside. I was walking towards the candy kingdom as something flying above me snatched my apple.
"What the?"
I looked around and saw nothing. Just the blue, cloudless sky. I began walking again and bump into Prince Gumball.
"Fionna!" I ignored him and walk right past him. I heard him say, "Wait, Fionna!" but I just ignored him. I walked farther away from him and suddenly something grabbed my arms and I was in the air.
Then I was back on the ground. Now I was in a field.
I looked around and heard a laugh.
A female laugh.
I noticed a figure land on the ground in front of me and they stood up straight.
"Hello, Fionna." the female voice said. I couldn't see who it was because they had an umbrella covering their face. The umbrella slowly lifted to reveal Devnee, Marshall's ex girlfriend.
"Uh, hello?" I crossed my arms. "Why'd you bring me here?"
She laughed. "I wanted to talk."
"About what?" I raised an eyebrow.
"About Marshall," She grinned, showing off her white fangs.
I rolled my eyes. "And what about Marshall?" I looked at her with a blank expression.
She laughed. "Are all humans this stupid? I want him to be mine again."
I laughed. "I don't think that's gonna happen. Sorry."
"But I mean, I don't see why he could love you anyway. You're a human. And you're not pretty at all. He'll just end up hurting you." She floated in circles around me, a sly smile on her stupid, pale face. I wanted to punch her teeth in.
"Why can't you see that? Plus, he's immortal. He'll just forget about you once you die, pitiful human. Unless.." She let her sentence trail off, attempting to make me curious. It worked.
"Unless what?" I asked, ready to punch this chick in the face, suppressing the thoughts that ran through my mind. The thoughts that told me she was right.
"I could make you immortal; a vampire. Like me, and Marshy."
"How?" I looked at her, my eyebrows raised.
"Just take my hand," she held out her hand, grinning. I slowly grabbed her hand and she opened a portal to the Nightosphere. "We have to do it here. For it to work, I mean."
I was unsure about this. But I loved Marshall and didn't want to lose him. Plus, being a vampire adventurer sounded pretty lumpin' awesome. Even so, I hesitated.
"Okay, fine."
She grabbed my wrist and dragged me into the forest. "Now, stand still." she smiled wickedly and stood behind me. I didn't like that smile. I was just about to run away but then I felt pain shoot into my neck.
She had bit me. Everything started to fade rather quickly, and I heard Marshall's voice.
"FIONNA!" At this point I fully realized she had tricked me. She wanted to kill me.
"Fionna.." I heard Marshall's voice again. It was closer this time. It sounded like he was crying. I knew I was going to die. Then everything went black.
I was dead.
