'I was walking in a field. It was a beautiful field, filled with flowers, all white flowers and the bumble bees gracefully flying by and gently pollinating the flowers.
The birds chirped and wind hummed. And there was the faint sound of a baby crying. I walked towards the sound and saw a pale, blonde haired baby in a blanket, all alone.
Then it started screaming and looked behind me with terrified red eyes. I glanced behind me and saw Marshall, his fangs bared.
"Marsha-"
I didn't finish because he leaped over me in a single move and landed in a crouch over the baby; he was hissing.
"Marshall, what are you doing?" My eyes wide with worry.
He didn't respond as he lunged for the baby. The crying stopped and Marshall just vanished.
The baby was no longer there either.
All that was left was the red soaking the flowers around where the spot where baby was.'
I woke up on my bed sweating, wearing my clothes from yesterday and saw the bed sheets on the floor.
Phew, it was just a nightmare. Probably from all the stress Cake put on my about probably being pregnant, I thought to myself. I saw, out of the corner of my eye, Marshall's axe-base. That proved my point of him being here last night. I stood up and my abdomen ached. Also a sign that what happened last night really happened. I hopped into the shower and soon finished. I dried my hair and went to my closet and got dressed.
I looked in the mirror and I was wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with jeans on instead of my skirt. It made me feel vulnerable. I put on my black high-top converse and slipped my sword in them, as I normally would, and combed through my hair with a brush. I slid on a white beanie with small bunny ears and walked downstairs.
I saw Cake playing BMO on the couch and Cake looked up at me.
"Oh hey Fi," Cake said and looked back at BMO.
I felt like she was still mad at me; she definitely had the right to be. I slept with Marshall before even talking to Cake about anything first. But Cake shouldn't be mad at me because I'm almost a grown woman; well, only a few years away but still. I should be able to do what I want.
"Hi, Cake." I said slowly.
Cake silently stood up and went to the table across the room and picked something up. It was a thin, small, rectangular pink box.
Cake handed it to me and said, "Here. Now go and test yourself. It better not be positive." Cake spoke with a slight harshness in her tone and walked upstairs. I walked to the bathroom and opened the box. It was something that looked like a thermometer.
I closed the bathroom door and pulled out the tester.
"It better not be positive," Cake had said. As I stood in the bathroom, holding the little tester, I couldn't believe it.
It was positive.
I was so screwed. Crap, that meant Cake was going to claw Marshall's face out. I slipped the test into my pocket and walked out into the living room, not seeing Cake and decided to go for it. I opened the door and sprinted to Marshall's house.
My beanie almost flew off at the speed I was running. I banged my fist on Marshall's door several times, eventually he opened it, and he was not happy to see a dent in his blue door.
"What the hell?" Marshall looked pissed at the sight of his ruined door.
"Sorry about your door, but this is super important, can I come in?" I looked at Marshall and saw his expression soften.
"Sure," he stepped aside so I could walk in then shut the door. He floated to his couch and looked at me, "Okay, so whats so important you had to dent my door for?"
"Well, you know how we, well," I hesitated for a moment then started talking again, "how we had Tier 15 the other night?"
Marshall nodded. He seemed to understand that I was too embarrassed to call it anything other than Tier 15.
I pulled the test out of my pocket and held it up.
"What is that?" He had to float over towards me to see what it was and when he did, his face paled even more, which seemed impossible. His eyes were filled with horror. "But vampires cant.. impregnate.." He didn't even finish his sentence. He slumped onto the couch and put his head in his hands.
"Does Cake know?" he asked, almost miserably, through his fingers.
"Cake wanted me to take this test, but I haven't told her the result yet," I frowned.
Marshall looked as if he were going to say something but a loud banging sound on the door stopped him. He stood up and looked through the peep hole in his door and cursed.
"Shit! It's Cake." Marshall turned his head towards me. Cake knocked loudly again and Marshall opened the door with a grin.
"Hello, Cake. Lovely day we're having, isn't it?" Marshall grinned.
"Oh, shut up, bat face. I know Fionna's here. And in order for her to have run off like that, it means she might have a result," Cake said with her paws on her hips and she didn't look too happy.
I stepped out from behind Marshall and smiled slightly. "Hey Cake," I said, forcing a smile.
"Are you positive?"
I handed her the stick and she gasped. "Fi.." but she didn't sound mean or angry or anything of the sort. She sounded sympathetic, even. "Fionna. We'll get you through this. Don't worry sugar, I'm not angry because I know it's not your fault," Cake smiled sincerely. "Marshall, can I please talk to you for a moment in another room? Really quick?" Cake smiled at him brightly, but there was something wrong about her expression.
"Uh, sure," Marshall said hesitantly. If there was anyone he was afraid of, it was Cake.
Marshall and Cake walked into the kitchen and Cake started yelling. I laughed and they soon walked back out.
Marshall had claw marks all over his face and I could barely contain my laughter. "I'll live," Marshall chuckled.
"C'mon, Fi, lets go." Cake smiled slightly.
"Okay. Bye, Marsh." I went to kiss him on the cheek and he turned his head, turning it into an actual kiss. It was passionate, but fierce.
Cake faked a few coughs and I pulled away, blushing.
"Bye, bunny," Marshall grinned.
