Plot summary-
Shane Perry's father is a legend in the world of espionage. James Perry is a God in his field and eighteen year old Shane is expected to follow in his impressive footsteps. Missions and assignments are all she has ever known and Shane is about to embark on her most crucial one yet.
This is Shane's chance to prove herself, her first real shot at getting into the big leagues of the spy world. There's just one problem: the assignment. Shane's task is to become the personal bodyguard to the Crown Prince of Idris, a large island off the coast of Portugal. But to Shane, spending more than five minutes in the same room as Alexander Beaumont is torture, how will she even survive?
However, when unknown forces breach the walls of the palace and an attempt is made on Alex's life, security is stepped up. In order to protect Alex, Shane is forced to go undercover as Princess Katarina. The more time Shane spends with Alex, the more she gets to know him and begins to like him. If that's even possible.
At the same time, Shane has to learn how to walk, talk and act like a princess. For a girl with a strict no-heels policy, dancing lessons are going to be difficult to say the least. Shane is fluent in ten languages, capable of killing a man in seventeen different ways and hacking a computer at lightning speed, but when it comes to the battle ground of etiquette, ball gowns and tiaras; she is clueless.
Shane and Alex will have to put aside their differences and work together to figure out who is behind the mysterious threats and attacks because the future of Idris, Alex's life and Shane's heart are depending on it.
