Tiana's POV

It'd been about ten minutes since we started to hide. I could hear someone complaining from outside of the box about how long we were taking. I was hoping they wouldn't open the curtains on us.

"Someone wants to use this. What do we do?" I nervously chewed on my bottom lip.

"I guess we have to-," Landon was saying before he was rudely cut off by the opening of the curtain.

A nerdy, slim guy glared at us.

"Excuse me but other people want to use this." He said with a lisp. He was making a big scene. A crowd had been drawn to the game, including my mom and Sylvia.

"We were just leaving. There is no need to be a prick." Landon rolled his eyes.

"I just want to play the game and you two have been in here for ages!" he complained.

"Obviously we weren't in here that long because you still haven't hit puberty." Landon smirked. The small crowd around us snickered. I have to admit that his insult was really funny.

"Tiana?" my mom stuck her head into the box.

I groaned and covered my face with my hands.

"Yup." I sighed.

"You should've been home yesterday after school!" she crossed her arms.

I pushed past her and the nerd. I stretched my arms once I was outside. Landon came and stood next to me.

"Well, I won't be home until night." I shrugged.

"Where have you been? And what are you wearing?" she pulled on my skirt, "You look like a prostitute."

"How'd you know?" I faked a gasp.

She glanced at Landon and back to me, "So you're hanging out with strange boys and going against my orders."

Landon stuck out his hand, "I'm Landon Reynolds."

"Nice to meet you. My daughter is a very bad influence. Do yourself a favor and don't hang out with her." She faked a smile and shook his hand.

Sylvia was grinning beside her. I just wanted to slap her right across the face.

"But guess what? I'm still a virgin and I have a 4.0 GPA." I rolled my eyes.

"You're coming home with me." She yanked on my arm, but I stuck to my position. I was not going anywhere with her.

"Like I said earlier, I'll be home tonight. Good bye!" I turned away from her and dragged Landon along with me.

"That was not how I expected to meet your mother." Landon blew out a breath. Poor boy! I didn't want him to meet her at all.

We got in his car and I just sat, regretting my life.

"Where to next?" I smiled to lighten the mood.

"So, you're a virgin?" he smirked at me. He didn't answer my question.

"Yes I am." I said proudly. Keeping your virginity for 17 years is an accomplishment.

"Me too." He focused on the road. He didn't look like the type. I got a bad boy meets play boy vibe from him, but he wasn't like that all.

"I didn't think you were." I replied.

"I don't want to do it with just any girl. Not every girl is special." He winked at me. What did that mean?

I didn't know what to say next so I just smiled and nodded. The rest of the car ride was full of small talk about us. I learned a lot about him.

Landon liked dogs, but had never owned one. His mom was an engineer and his dad was a therapist. He loved vanilla ice cream so much that he married a cone when he was seven. He didn't learn to ride his bike until he was ten because he was scared at first. His great-grandparents survived WW2 and were still living. I could go on and on about him, but that would probably take up too much time.
