Tiana's POV
Back to the daily grind after one fun day. I didn't want to go to school today, but if I didn't go then I would probably miss something good. One time, I missed school and Beth and Tate had a fist fight. I'd pay to see that! Who wouldn't, though?
My alarm clock blared in my ear. I kept my head buried in my pillow as I smashed around, trying to cut it off. I accidentally knocked over my water bottle which leaked all over my carpet within seconds. This was a great way to start off a Thursday. I finally decided to look up and actually turned my alarm off correctly.
I dragged my feet to the bathroom and got a towel. I dabbed the wet spot on my carpet. Some of it transferred to the towel, but I decided to let the rest dry.
I stripped out of my clothes. There was that scar again.
There was blood everywhere. What did I do?
"Tiana!" I heard my dad yell, bringing me back to life and thankfully so.
"Yes, daddy!" I answered.
"You better not still be in that bed." His stern voice boomed. Oh yeah, that's why I was taking my clothes off.
"I'm going to shower now." I assured him and went to do as I said.
That scar was a permanent reminder of that night. I hated myself for it. I hated that I never told anyone. I hated that I was a coward. I hated how I had that weight on my shoulders.
The water ran cold, so I turned it off and got out. I went to my room to lotion and get dressed. As I was putting on my socks, my egotistical sister, whose name I refuse to mention because of this, stormed into my room.
"There is no hot water left! How am I supposed to shower now?" she was fuming. Oops! I may have gotten a bit lost in my thoughts while in the shower.
"I didn't realize I was taking so long. I'm sorry." I smiled apologetically. I didn't mean it, but I didn't want any drama.
"Yeah, well I'm sorry too."
Suddenly, red and yellow liquids were being squirted on me. I dodged for my pillow and held it in front of me. I swung it at her and knocked her head. She fell into my wall, leaving a dent.
"What the fuck was that?" I yelled. Now, I don't usually use that kind of language, but my blood was heating.
Her face was tear stained, but I had no mercy.
"I can't stand," I brought the pillow down on her face, "you!"
"Daddy!" she screamed. She was sobbing and was trying to cover her face with her hands as I beat her.
My father's footsteps ricocheted from the hall. He came into my room just as I was smashing her face in with my pillow.
"Tiana, stop!" he snatched the pillow from me. He picked up my crying sister.
"Look at what that annoying beast did to my uniform!" I stood in front of him so he could see.
"Honey, what is going on in here?" my mom asked from the hallway. Once she entered my room, she gasped.
"Who put that dent there!?" she yelled. Everyone was just upset this morning. My dad was cooing over my sister in order to get her to stop crying.
"Tiana pushed me into the wall." She wailed and pointed at me.
I rolled my eyes, "It was self-defense. She attacked me with ketchup and mustard! I only hit her with the pillow."
My mom looked between us accusingly, "You two are just trouble."
