Two Weeks Later
Tiana's POV
It was Prom Eve and I was just about drowning in happiness. My dress was perfect. It was an enchanting purple with sparkles in all the right places. It flowed and touched the floor even in my silver heels.
Tario was wearing a matching purple shirt under his black tuxedo. I couldn't wait for tomorrow. Miley, Kendall, Grace, Tario, and I had rented a limo. We were going to show up in style. Afterwards, Carrie was throwing a major after party at her house. Everyone was invited, even people from other schools.
Tario and I were together once again. This time we were doing some pre-Prom shopping at the mall. He was holding my large five shopping bags in his hands. I would've carried them myself, but he wouldn't let me.
"I'm hungry." I said aloud as we were walking to the next store. The food court wasn't far from where we were, and I could basically smell all the different foods. My stomach yearned for some.
"Let's go eat then. I'm hungry as well." Tario said. I looped my arm through his and smiled. People working kiosks tried to get our attention, but we were set out to buy some food and nothing could distract us.
We arrived to the crowded food court and I immediately hopped in the Chick-fil-a line. Tario told me what he wanted, a chicken sandwich, before going to get a table for us. The line was a bit long, but moved quickly. In about ten minutes, I had ordered and was waiting for our food. I glanced around to see where Tario had sat and recognized his black Nike hat. Then, I noticed a blonde girl sitting across from him. The two were talking and I wasn't sure what to make of it.
Being the jealous type, a knot twisted in my stomach. I stared intently. I couldn't take my eyes away.
"Miss?" someone said behind me. I snapped my head around to the Chick-fil-a employee who was holding my food. I hoped he wasn't standing there too long.
"Oh, thank you." I took the tray and nervously walked to the table. I didn't know what I would do when I got there. I didn't know if this girl was a threat or not. I finally got to the table, but there was nowhere for me to sit.
"Hi." I said shyly. I put the tray down in front of Tario and pulled up a chair.
"This is my girlfriend, Tiana." Tario said when I sat down. The girl grimaced and looked me up and down.
"Nice to meet you," I extended my hand but then quickly pulled it away, "Oh sorry, I don't want an STD."
She gasped, "Well don't mess around with Tario then."
"She won't leave me alone. I've been trying to get her to go away for the longest time now." Tario said quietly only to me.
"What was that, Tario?" she crossed her arms.
"Could you go away please? We want to eat." I said curtly.
"I'll leave, but Tario will be back. And if it's not for me, it'll be some other girl he banged." She abruptly pushed her chair away from the table and strode away, shooting me a nasty glare over her shoulder. Her bouncy blonde curls faded from my view.
"You know I'd never cheat on you, right?" Tario leaned forward and asked. When I started dating him, I knew I'd have to deal with this. This wasn't the first time one of his old one timers started drama.
"Of course, babe." I rubbed his soft cheek with my thumb.
"I'd never lie to you either unlike my sister." He said the last words so quietly that I almost missed them. My eyebrows furrowed. What did that mean?
