Miley's POV
All my social media accounts were full of hate. I didn't even want to read what people had written so I kept my notifications off. I was going to get Grace back for this.
I finished sorting out all my details for my birthday party. I didn't expect many people to come anymore, so I didn't make the club exclusive for that night. Basically, I was going to celebrate my birthday with a club full of strangers. However, anyone over 21 wasn't allowed to enter for that night.
Despite what people were saying about me, I posted about my birthday party on The Instigators.
I overheard that Miley Evans is having her 18th Birthday Party on Friday. Details below for all the party crashers ;)
My phone buzzed about ten times in a row. I checked my text messages. They were all from Kendall. As if I was going to talk to him so easily! I muted him and clicked my phone off.
I was home alone, and a bit lonely. I didn't have anyone to really talk to. Tiana was the only person I would talk to right now, and she was busy with soccer.
Every girl needs some time to herself anyway, so why not get drunk? We kept alcohol in the basement, and my mom would kill me if she ever found out that I drank it occasionally. I was only allowed to have wine at the dinner table.
The basement was colder than usual. I actually shivered when I descended from the last step. I opened the cooler and grabbed a bottle of vodka. Something clattered at the bottom. I squinted my eyes to see what it was.
A ring I recognized lay at the bottom of the cooler. I picked it up with two fingers and examined it. The ring belonged to my father. I'd know it anywhere because I used to admire it all the time when I was younger. Why would he have left his ring in the cooler? He never took it off.
I couldn't tell my mom about my finding or else I would have to rat myself out for drinking. I switched the lights off and went back to my room. I hid the ring in my jewelry box.
My mind drifted to the note I found in Grace's room that supposedly was written by Tiana. I called her to finally ask her about it. She answered immediately.
"Hey, love, how are you?" she chirped. She sounded far away. I was probably on speaker.
"Hey, I just had a question. So I found this note in Grace's room and she said it was yours. It was like an apology letter or something." I said. I wanted to be upfront about it.
"I think it was because I used something of yours and didn't want you to be upset about it." She replied. The note said that we probably wouldn't be friends after she told me what she did. She wouldn't say that about something so small. I felt like she was lying, but I didn't want to push too much. I'd bring it up again another day.
"Oh, okay! I was just wondering, but thank you." I quickly said and hung up.
This evening was supposed to be a stress free evening. I cleared my mind and settled down with my vodka bottle and a bunch of movies.
Before I could even put the first one in the disc place on my laptop, my doorbell rang. I peered outside from my window. Only Kendall would come see me during this time of day.
"Go away!" I shouted.
"No, I want to see you." He said.
"Leave me alone." I groaned.
"Miley, you know very well that I will climb up there." He threatened.
"I will push you!" I rolled my eyes.
