Tiana's POV

There was a history between Tyler and I. Our mothers were close, and that's how we met. We'd been together for about eight months, you know until yesterday. He was my second serious boyfriend. He kept pressuring me into having sex, which I wasn't ready for. And to be honest, I didn't want my first time to be with him, so I wasn't too surprised when he told me he was cheating on me. He was still a jerk, though. He could've at least dumped me before sleeping with someone else.

The girls had been great in helping with my healing. I was going over to Miley's house after school today.

"Miss Ross?" someone repeated. Something hard hit my leg causing me to jerk back to life.

"Ow!" I yelped in pain. I glared at the girl sitting next to me.

"Miss Ross?" the voice said again. I looked to find my teacher staring at me from the front of the classroom.

"Yes, Ms. Peterson?" I said as politely as I could.

"Sleeping in my class again?" she looked disappointed yet stern.

"I guess." I shrugged.

"Science is an important part of education." She shook her head.

"Not for me. I'm never going to use it for my career." I rolled my eyes.

"And what is that?" she crossed her arms.

"Couch potato." I smirked. Snickers came from everyone in the classroom.

"I hope you have fun slacking in life while everyone else is doing something productive."

"Hey, I'll think of this conversation every day." I assured her.

Her lips formed into a tight line, and she turned back to the chalkboard.

"Why the hell did you kick me?" I asked the girl sitting next to me. I didn't know her name, but she had blue hair and blue eyes. She looked like a demented mermaid.

"So you would wake up." She said apologetically.

"Well, if I wanted to wake up, I would've." I scoffed, brushing her off. I wasn't usually this mean, but Tyler put me in a very bad mood.

"I'm sorry." She frowned.

"Don't sweat it. I'm not feeling too good today. I'm sorry, too."

"Tiana, leave my classroom please!" Ms. Peterson looked like she was about to summon Satan himself.

I pushed my books into my bag and held up the peace sign as I left. I slid down the wall beside her door once I'd stepped outside. I pulled my phone out and checked time. 15 minutes left of class.

"Ross?" a guy's voice said from a distance. He walked over to me.

It was Grace's brother, Tario, walking back to class. He looked nice in his uniform.

Our school colors were green, black, and white so our uniforms had to be those colors. However, we were allowed to wear khaki pants.

Tario was wearing a green polo shirt with black dress pants and shoes.

My outfit didn't look nearly as good as his. I was wearing a green blazer, a white t-shirt, a black skirt, white knee socks, and black heels. This was my usual attire. I just switched up my colors sometimes.

"T.!" I fist-bumped him.

"What's good? Why are you out here?" he sat down next to me.

"First I was sleeping and then I was talking."
