Part One: Hard Work

I get to work on making a very special ring for Alitia. The band is a platinum/titanium alloy that I mingled with silver. The stone is a purple angel's aura quartz/sapphire/amethyst. The materials alone were expensive (the metal was $9,000, and the jewels were $15,000), and the time I put into making it was extensive. I just hope she accepts my promise to her.

Part Two: My Surprise Stays A Surprise

I come to school with a spring in my step, and hope in my heart. I told my best friend, John Smith of my little surprise to her, and I also told him to keep his mouth shut about it. I really would be shocked if he did.

John, who is about as tall as I am, dark-skinned, with brown eyes, and short, barber-cut black hair with a Times New Roman uppercase letter T cut into his hairline to his left, walks up to me and tells me that my surprise is still a surprise. I am officially shocked. And then he informs me that if I go through with this, and she says yes, that I will never be able to turn back without hurting her big-time. I tell him, "I don't intend to turn back."

Part Three: The Promise

At lunch, I tell John to wish me luck. Then I walk over to Alitia's table and I ask her to stand up. She asks me what's going on. I respond by getting down on one knee, and she looks around, blushing badly. Then I take her left hand, and I tell her, "I am making a promise to you."

Everyone turns around to look at us, they grow quiet, I blush as much as Tia is at this moment, and my heart rate starts to skyrocket.

"This ring will tell people that until we say our vows to each other, we will always belong to each other."

As I speak, I put the ring on her left ring finger, and her face just turns redder and redder, until she is the color of brake lights. Her friends all say, "Awww... that's so sweet!"

Then I ask her, "Do you accept my promise?"

There's a long pause as I'm assuming she's contemplating what I just did, and then a firm "Yes."

As I stand up to hug and kiss her, everyone in the entire cafeteria cheers for us. I was not expecting that.
