Part One: Can't Even Have A Honeymoon Without Being Interrupted...
After the wedding, Tia and I are on one of my private jets to the first stop on our 'round-the-world honeymoon. And I know that we could fly there on our own, but is it too much to ask to want to be normal for once in my twisted life?
When we land in Japan, we check into our hotel room. When we get in the room, almost by osmosis, we strip. Our clothes, underwear, everything. I mean, we've seen each other before, but now, it's official. And we... get... busy.
And let me tell you something: I have never felt so good in my entire life. This, I could really get used to.
The following morning, as I wake up, extremely tired from the events of last night, and I look at the smart princess I'm destined to protect, the strong girl that I'm destined to be with, the brave woman that I am fated to love, and I smile. Because after last night, we truly are now one. Two halves of the same whole.
And I'm content with life right now.
Suddenly, something bursts into our room from the window and says, "Get away from my girlfriend, imposter!"
I shield Tia from everything with my body as best I can, and I try to see what is so violently interrupting our honeymoon. And my eyes grow wide because what I see should be impossible. This person is floating in the air in a red version of my Pulse uniform, and he looks just like me.
"Who are you?" I ask as I stand up, keeping Tia behind me.
"I am the real Pulse," he replies, "And you have something that belongs to me."
My anger begins to bubble as I say, "If you were me, then you wouldn't have said that Tia belongs to you because you wouldn't believe that people could be owned. Least of all a princess. Royalty belongs to no one. Not even her husband."
"But she gave herself to me. Her body, mind, and soul."
"If you were me, you also wouldn't have said that Tia did it with you even though you aren't married, because you would believe that sex is a God-given gift, and that people should remain celibate until marriage for that very reason."
"I don't have the patience for this," he says, walking towards her with his hand extended. "C'mon, Tia, let's get outta here."
I back her away from this charlatan and say, "Touch her and die."
"I'm good with my husband, thank you," says Tia. "Please leave us in peace."
Then he chuckles and says, "I think the both of you have misunderstood what I've been trying to tell you. So I will make it plain for you: Tia is coming with me, and if you try to stop me from taking back what's mine, I'll kill you with my bare hands. Is that plain enough for you to comprehend?"
