Part One: Further Explanation
When we get back to the Cave, I say, "Okay; Akura, Flora, elaborate further on the 'Triplets Three'. What exactly are we dealing with, here?"
"We first encountered them four Earth years ago, when Flora and I were doing our nightly rounds," says Akura. "See, a full Dystopian day is thirty-six hours, and it's dark more than it is light. Anyway, we saw them breaking into a vault filled with gold, silver, bronze, copper, and platinum. They bypassed the security measures much like how they did here, and phased through the vault door."
"When they came out," continues Flora, "we were there, waiting, and we fought them, but it was too late. Not only did they outsmart us and get away, but when officials tried to open the vault the next morning, they couldn't... because it was gone."
"Do you have any idea--at least, theoretically--how they could be stopped?" asks John. "I mean, they ain't gods. They gotta have at least one weakness between the three of 'em."
"Well," says Flora, "Akura and I have developed a bit of a hypothesis ever since our first fight with them."
"If the Triplets Three are thoroughly separated from one another," says Akura, "then they will be utterly weakened, and way easier to take down."
"The 'If-then' statement. Nice touch," says Ky.
"If we are to start somewhere," says DEELEX, "an inquiry should now be made about what powers and abilities they have. From there, there is an 85.625% chance that we can successfully brainstorm ways to efficiently neutralize and apprehend the trio."
"Well," says Akura, "individually, they have a few powers unique to them. The eldest Triplet in red, Ahrokhar Atano (who technically leads them), has the power to create, control and manipulate fire. Added to that, his speed and immediate sensory precognitive abilities make him a formidable challenge to overcome."
"The second-born in green," continues Flora, "Ahsokhar Atano, has the ability to manipulate the very ground he walks on. If it's not metal, glass, plastic, or organic, it is his to command. He also has immense strength and incredible endurance, the likes I'd never seen until we met you, David."
"The youngest and most dangerous in blue," says Akura, "Ahtokhar Atano, is a waterbender, able to siphon water just from the moisture in the air. He can feel the moisture in anything that has it, and if it has moisture, he can manipulate it completely. His added stealth and strategic capabilities makes him our top priority."
"You originally said 'individually'," says DEELEX, "implying that the Triplets Three are able to do more when they combine. If the implication is, in fact, truth, it would be beneficial and appreciated to notify us of what happens at that point."
"As always, DEELEX," says Akura, "you're extremely perceptive. When they join hands, they turn white and gain the ability to manipulate the air itself; either to repel, redirect, or take breathable air from their enemies. They can also phase through solid objects. When in close proximity to each other, they have short-range tri-directional telepathy, able to communicate only with each other in mere seconds. Also, when they're close to each other, their powers are enhanced greatly."
"So, all we've got to do is separate them?" asks Tia. "Should be a piece of cake, right?"
"My wager is that it is not as simple as it sounds, Ms. Addams," says DEELEX. "Is it, either Ms. Katamoka?"
"We don't think so," says Flora. "We think that the Triplets are connected on a spiritual level. So, simple neural inhibitors won't completely do the trick. We need something to sever both their mental and their spiritual ties with each other."
