Part One: The Interrogation

"What do you mean alive?" asks the Spike-Haired Speedster. "We could just pick his brain before it dies after I overload his heart. No biggie."

"No," I say. "No more killing. We will get the information we need the old-fashioned way: By asking him for it."

"Can I at least rough him up a little?"

"Babe, let's you and I have a talk in my room," says Lian, and she teleports them both upstairs.

DEELEX then says, "Before the lights went off, Mr. Yashimoto had me to scan our assailant's speed trail to compare it with the unknown speedster's speed trail at the crime scene. Both trails are one and the same."

I walk up to the cell and say to our new guest, "What is your name, intruder?"

"DeathSpeed," he replies.

"Well, DeathSpeed, let's do a headcount, here: You've got two of the strongest beings on the planet (me and Pulsate, here), the most advanced piece of living technology in the world, a catgirl and her younger, nature-wielding sister, a wolfgirl, an ArchAngel with a sword so hot, it would catch you on fire before it even touches you, an ex-vampire who can walk into a ray of sunshine and not turn herself into ashes, and an artificially intelligent supercomputer who made herself physical. And let's not forget the ones that are already pissed off at you: The fastest living being on Earth, and a grandmaster assassin who knows two hundred different ways to put somebody in intensive care, and twice that number to kill a person.

"So, it appears that you have just made yourself an arch enemy. And it comes as an eleven-item package. You're basically screwed unless you tell us exactly what we need to know."

"No," he says, plainly and simply.

"Is that your final answer?" I ask.

He doesn't answer. Instead, he gives me a dirty look.

"Fine by me," I say. "Withholding information is only gonna hurt you in the end."

I step away from the cell and ask, "Where's Ky and Lian?"

"My inference is, I believe the phrase is, 'getting it on'," says DEELEX.

At that moment the couple comes in, and Ky looks to be in an inebriated state. "I'm good, guys," he slurs, "I just need to sit down somewhere... ooh, here looks nice."

And he misses the chair, bursting into a fit of laughter after his butt hits the stone floor.

"What did you do to him?!" I ask her.

"I... I gave him a sedative kiss, you know, to cool him off and relax him a little bit. I think it worked a little too well."

"No," I say sarcastically, "you think? I blame you. If he can't interrogate DeathSpeed because of you, then you need to do it. I also suggest you transform into your other form, because of the power dampeners in the cell."

Lian transforms and walks into the cell. After five minutes, DeathSpeed starts screaming, "OKAY, I'LL TALK, I'LL TALK! JUST RELIEVE THE PRESSURE! PLEASE!!"

She comes out with a smug look about her face, and says, "Stand with your feet and hands up against the wall, legs spread wide, and facing the cell entrance. This might hurt you more than the build-up."

There is a pause, and he says, "Do it! Please, hurry!"

She smiles and snaps her fingers. Not a moment after, several long-lasting jet blasts of cream white-colored liquid shoot out from the cell, over the walkway, and into the adjacent chasm. If that's... what I think it is, then, umm... that's nasty. I'm extremely glad it's in the chasm.
