Night 1

Solaire:

Here I am in the airport- waiting for my best friend to pick me up. I've been waiting here for like two hours already. Nakakainis! It's been a year but she hasn't changed, she's still the same girl that I've been friends with for the longest time. Lagi nalang siyang late sa mga usapan! Filipino time ika nga nila.

Oh, I haven't introduced myself yet. I am Brianna Solaire Elizalde, a 24 year old woman who graduated at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management. I stayed in Japan for a year to study Culinary Arts specializing in Japanese cuisine. I chose Japanese cuisine because I have a Japanese restaurant in Highstreet. Wait, my best friend is finally here!

"Solaire!" tawag niya sakin habang wini-wave niya yung hand niya.

"Haynako! Ang tagal tagal mo naman!" reklamo ko paglapit ko sakanya, paghintayin ba naman ako ng dalawang oras!

"Well, I'm sorry. I was stucked in crazy traffic!" sagot niya bago niya ako i-beso.

"Ang sabihin mo Filipino time ka lang lagi!" pang-aasar ko sakanya, "Diretso muna tayo sa restaurant ko, dumating na daw yung bagong Japanese Chef eh, gusto ko muna makilala."

"Okay." maikling sagot niya.

She is my best friend, Brittany Lakeesha de Zobel. I met her when I was in gradeschool. Classmate ko siya sa De La Salle Zobel, hanggang sa mag highschool na kami, magkaklase pa rin kami. Halos hindi na kami mapaghiwalay, we treat each other as our own sister. Then we decided to part ways after we graduated in highschool. She chose to study in Ateneo and I stayed in La Salle, Benilde nga lang. DLSU doesn't offer HRIM kasi. She took up Communications in Ateneo and she was once the courtside reporter of ADMU in UAAP.

"Solare." tawag niya sa akin nang mapansin niyang nakatingin lang sa sa labas.

"Yes?" matipid na sagot ko.

"How are you?" tanong niya sakin, "What did really happen?"

Napatingin ako sakanya, mejo nagulat ako sakanya eh. Ano ba kasing pinagsasabi nitong babaeng 'to.

"Huh? What do you mean by that? I don't understand you."

"Stop acting like you don't know what I'm talking about." sagot niya sa akin, "C'mon Solaire! You know I'm talking about you and Juami."

Me and Juami? Oh yeah right, Brianna and Juami. What did really happen to our relationship?"

-Flashback-

Today is our anniversary, Juami and I decided to have a dinner date at Heat in EDSA Shangri-la. It was a very romantic dinner. But it's not what you think, it was not a candle lit dinner with violinist and all. It was just a simple dinner. I find it romantic 'cause it feels like we were the only person in that restaurant, we were talking about "us"- our future, the family that we will have after we graduate in college.

After our dinner date, we headed to my condo in Taft. My condo is just a block away from my school so I chose to stay here than in our house in Alabang.

"What are we going to do next, baby?" tanong ko kay Juami pag pasok na pagpasok namin ng condo ko. 

"We will have a movie date, babe." mabilis na sagot naman niya.

Teka, mejo ang labo nitong si Juami ah! Pumunta kami sa condo ko tapos gusto ng movie date!

"Movie date?" nagtatakang tanong ko sakanya, "Hindi nalang muna sana tayo pumunta dito kung gusto mo ng movie date. Sana dumiretso nalang muna tayo sa mall, sayang pa yung gas mo."
