I can't unfeel your pain
I can't undo what's done
I can't send back the rain
But if I could I would
My love

Chapter 3: Hogwarts Express
September first finally arrived and somehow everyone managed to sleep in. After the incident in the pub, Hermione thought it would be best to go back to Harry's instead of staying at The Burrow. Even though everyone assured her that The Burrow would always be open for her. She quickly went through her trunk to make sure that she was all set. She then sat on her bed and smiled. How did they do that every single year? Sleep in then arrive late. Hermione figured that this would probably be her last chance to arrive late, so she didn't rush Harry. When she checked on him only to find him sitting on his own bed smiling sadly. "You too?" She asked as she sat by him. He hugged her sweetly, "Yeah.", then pushed his glasses up. This was going to be their last year, and they were either going to fail it or nail it. Either ways, they won't be going back next year.
When they arrived at the train station many kids came up to both of them. Seems like saving the wizarding world comes with some fame. The attention was fine until the reporters showed up, that's when Hermione toom over and Harry snuch off. That was their routine, she'd handle the press. Cut them short as Harry slipped away. Once she dodged them herself, Hermione headed to the train to look for Harry and Ginny. Praying to Dumbledore the entire way that she wouldn't run into Ron. She knew that Ron was an ass, and what he did was terrible. However, she'd refused to let his stupidity affect his relationship with his sister and best friend. She'd made sure they understood that, but running into him wasn't the best thing to happen right now.
She eventually gave up on her search and went to find them all a compartment. But what if they'd taken a compartment and were waiting for her? Decisions decisions...
What if Ron had asked them if he could stay with them?
Or worse, what if Ron and Romilda had asked to stay with them? Gosh why was everything so confusing?
She didn't want to get into any fights with neither Ron nor Romilda. Because if she was going to, she had some ass to kick. What pissed her off the most is the fact that she could tell their relationship was going downhill. Despite the fact that she was doing her best to make it work, had Ron told her that it wasn't working for him anymore, she would've understood. But he didn't, and that was his decision.
Hermione was still in the corrider thinking about what to do when she heard Ginny call her from behind. "Come on, we've got a compartment." They were all seated and the door was closed when Ginny was already asking questions. "So what exactly happened with Malfoy the other day? How come he got so hot, is it something in his hair?"
Harry interrupted her, "No actually, he's always been good looking. But you're right, the hair-change has been a great factor." Ginny blinked at him twice before saying, "Harry honey, your gay is showing." Harry shrugged her off and continued reading as Hermione laughed.
Believe it or not, Hermione had actually forgotten about the whole thing, more like thought it had been a dream. Not the cheating part, unfortunately, just the fact that Malfoy was there. She hadn't had much time to go over it in her head.
A good dream though, a voice said at the back of her head.
Oh shut up! another voice in her head added.
Hermione thought about what to say first, "Gosh I was so pissed at Ron." She sighed and leaned back in her seat. "I wasn't taking advantage of Malfoy or anything, but I'm glad that I did what I did. I got to thank him for being nice for once from one hand, and I got to Ron so mad from the other hand. So I guess it was win-win for both of us."
