Chapter 22
Together at Last

The shock that took over Draco's body was uncanny. He was the last person allowed to judge, yet he couldn't help being confused. He then cleared his throat, "It's best you contact them as soon as possible. No one knows you're dating her, correct?"

Neville clenched his jaw and nodded.

"That's actually good, this means you won't be ambushed on your way to meet her."

"I'll go with Neville." Ginny announced to the group. He squeezed her arm in return. Ginny gave Harry a peck on the mouth before heading outside.

Neville stayed behind for an extra few seconds to discuss logistics with Draco. They were to meet in two hours in front of Mrs. Greenegrass's house, or at least the neighborhood. They suspected her having a secret keeper but hoped it would be one of the daughters.

Ron headed to the kitchen to owl his dad. Mr. Weasley had been updated about everything so far, and it seemed like they were close enough.

Harry grabbed Draco by the shoulder shutting Hermione's door behind them. "There's something you need to know before we head there. Hermione, Ron and several of the others, along with myself, are a part of a secret organisation. It is not my place to inform you of the details, nor the name, or anything really. I just need you to know that we have some really powerful witches and wizards on our side. I need you to understand how necessary it is for me to inform them of our plans." Harry couldn't tell him of course that they were being informed by the second as Ron writes to his father. "I've respected your authority so far, but this is a must."

"Is this a decision Hermione would take?"

Harry's shoulders went tense, yet he nodded. "Most definitely. She trusts them."

"Then go ahead." And Harry patted his shoulder once before leaving the house and apparating to gather the members.

It was the first time since Hermione had been aabducted that Draco felt they were actually taking the right decisions.

Draco couldn't help his shock once he saw the people gathered in the neighborhood in gowns. They all had their heads covered, but he could've sworn he'd heard Minerva McGonagall among them. The more familiar the sounds were, the safer he felt around them. He recognized one especially important voice, and if he wasn't arresting him, then he must be in the clear.

Everyone was split up so they can invade the small mansion from all sides- only problem was they couldn't see the mansion yet. What worried Draco the most was the fact that Hermione was most probably still bleeding. The moment Daphne and Astoria arrived, the plan was set in motion.

Neville's suspicions were right, Daphne was indeed her mother's secret keeper. Even though they were no longer on good terms, their mother still loved them enough not to change the title.

Astoria squeezes Draco's arm in apology. "I can't begin to tell you how incredibly sorry I am. I had no idea."

"She's keeping her in your room." Draco looked away. The last thing he needed was tears in front of his ex. "That's the first place we need to get into. Apologize to me when this hell is over."

"I'll get her out myself." She promised him. Draco was handed a gown similar to the rest of the order. If shit hits the fan, they might need to flee and witnesses would be a problem.

Prior to Neville and Daphne walking up the stairs of the mansion to meet Mrs. Greenegrass, the mother had found Hermione bleeding out on the room and put two with two that Hermione had some sort of plan. All previous displays of sympathy were gone, and just like that Hermione was chained from the foot once again. She was healing Hermione's thigh when she heard the knock on the door. It hit the entire house, and she knew that it was one of her daughters. They would be the only ones to find her.
