Chapter 11: Wolves

"Katherine?" Sam called out to me but I was still silent.

I noticed Jake running to me but I signaled him to stop. He didn't.

"Kat, come one, are you okay?" he asked.

"What the hell is going on here?" I managed to scream out.

I didn't get an answer.

"Kat?" he said, almost sad.

"I'm out of here," I told everyone.

Jake stopped me. "I can explained."

"No, Jacob! This doesn't concern her!" Leah screamed running towards Jake. She almost held him trying to keep him away from me. It helped because I was trying to stay away but Jake managed to free himself from her.

"Let me talk, please," he begged.

"I don't care Jake. Just stay away from me!"

He reached for my hand. "Bella, please." I could feel everything become silent. No one moved or said anything. I felt my heart drop.

I stopped walking away from him and pulled my hand away from his. "Bella? Really?" I sounded like I was about to burst into tears. I could feel them coming too.

Jake took a deep breath. "I didn't..."

"...yeah, you did," I whispered. "Bye." I walked faster now to my car. I felt my heart being torn into pieces. I couldn't believe Jake had just called me Bella, after that whole conversation that I wasn't her replacement or anything like that. I was starting to feel like it now.

I noticed Paul walking to Jake. "Just let her go."

"No!" I could hear Jake tell him.

I could feel him steps away from me. "Katherine, please."

I turned around for the last time. "I'm not her! I will never be her! I don't know if you're trying to use me as your replacement Bella or something! I'm done with this Jacob, I'm done!"

"I didn't mean it!"

"Get away from me! Who are you? No, correction, what are you?" I demanded, the last question referring to everyone.

Everyone stood quiet all staring at me then at Sam then Billy.

Billy sighed. "Sam?"

Sam took a deep breath and looked angry but he simply nodded.

"Everyone inside, now!" Sam demanded. Emily pushed Billy inside as everyone looking at me frustrated walked inside following them. Everyone except Sam and Jacob.

"I'm leaving!" I said.

"Katherine, Jacob needs to explain something to you. I think you should let him talk," Sam explained but I continued walking towards my car. "Katherine, the least you can do for the people who have accepted you like a member of our family is let Jacob talk to you."

I took a deep breath and leaned against my car waiting for Jacob to talk. Sam nodded to Jacob and walked back into the house.

Jacob looked hurt. I figured from the little Bella episode.

"Are you going to talk or should I leave?!" I asked, annoyed.

He charged my way and stopped inches from my face. I could his anger, even I was frighten. "Let's get one thing straight, Kat. You are not Bella. Never have I thought of you like that but you have to understand one thing, this is a similar situation which is why I thought of Bella. You are Katherine. I care about you so much which is hard for me to admit but don't think it has anything to do with Bella. She's not here so it doesn't matter. You do."
