Azure

I had to skip school today i had to go buy a pregnancy test i just needed a definite answer , Sierra finally replies, " which hallway you in? " i respond, " B hallway" i finally see Sierra walking towards me. I couldn't hold the tears any longer i just cried in her arms
Sierra: boo what's wrong?
Me: everything is going wrong, Devin broke up with me, i think im pregnant.
Sierra: pregnant? That's impossible you have to lose your vir-- don't tell me you omg Azure are you serious?
Me: yes i woke up this morning and I threw up , my cycle is a week late.
Sierra: why didn't you use protection?
As Sierra asked me that question the flashback played back in my head
Me: because he he he
Sierra: because he what?
Me: he said he loved me, he said he wanted to make love to me I feel so stupid, i was just so in the moment .
Sierra: Don't bash yourself lets go to the store and check foreal.
We hop off campus to go to Walgreens to buy a pregnancy test, i ask Sierra how much should i get she said, " well my sister got 4 just to be sure but get 2." I got 2, we went up to the cash register and he was looking at us like we were sluts who skip school and should be ashamed of ourselves, i felt a little embarrassed. He says that would be, " 35.95 " i asked Sierra if she had 6$ all I had was 30$ thank God she did , we left the store and took a uber back to my house we went upstairs to my bathroom and I read the instructions I had to pee on the stick the results will come back in 3 mins boy i swear that was the longest three minutes, we both looked at eachother in shock it said positive I thought it had to be a mistake so I took the next one but the second one came back positive like the first one. I started crying my life is basically over.
Sierra: so what you gonna do?
Me: idk prepare for my funeral.
Sierra: you gonna tell Devin?
Me: should i?
Sierra: you should.
I call Devin , still no answer .
Sierra: wow this nigga is still ignoring you ?
My phone ring , it's Devin
I answer
Me: hello
Sierra silently whispers : put it on speaker
Devin: wassgudd?
Me: wassup? How you been?
Devin: i been good so what's up why you called ?
Me: we needa talk
Devin: talk about what? I told you we done? So what else is there to talk about?
Me: look I didn't call to get you back or anything so you could get that conversation out your head , I need to talk to you in person it's important.
Devin: is you gone let me know what's so important?
Me: ARE YOU LISTENING TO WHAT IM SAYING?
Devin: between you and I , my life's been better since you been gone , i don't gotta deal with all the drama and extra shit , Shaquavia and I get along way better , I spend a lot more time with my son, so look at this point I'm good off you and i really don't wanna see you , so do me a favor delete my number.
* Devin hangs up phone *
Tears start to fall down my face the one nigga that i thought was keeping it real, that would be there no matter what is a fake, a phony, and never kept it real from the jump but it's cool. As Sierra and I take a nap we hear my front door open. I look at Sierra , Sierra look at me. Who could that be ? It can't be my mom she's not even suppose to be home at this time? I listen at the door i hear my mom voice and i hear a man's voice which is strange , as im listening i totally forgot that I've left my pregnancy test in the bathroom shit, shit, shit. I say to Sierra i left my pregnancy test inside the bathroom, I pray and hope that my mom doesn't go inside my bathroom. Sierra and I go hide inside my closet , as we hear my mom room door close, we tippy toe to my bathroom , then all of a sudden i hear my mom yell, " HOLD ON ONE SECOND " Sierra and I quickly ran inside my shower hiding behind my shower curtains all of a sudden my phone rings , I forget to put it on silent its Devin , my mom bust inside my bathroom and pulled back the shower curtains , she yells " WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE? DIDN'T I DROP YOU TO SCHOOL THIS MORNING? " I look at her and ask her the same question , " Why are you here? Didn't you go to work this morning?" She replies , " IM GROWN I CAN DO WHATEVER I PLEASE  " As my mom turns her back she sees the pregnancy test and looks back at me with this look
My mom: what's this?
I'm not going to lie i was scared as hell, this wasn't the perfect timing I just stared at her for a good 2 minutes then all of a sudden
Sierra: it's mine
I look at Sierra like i wasn't expecting her to say that
My mom: say what? Sierra? pregnant? gotta be fucking kidding me, lord please give me the strength.
My phone rings again it's Devin , then we hear footsteps walking towards my bathroom , and say " Azurie is everything alright " my mom responds "yes  stay in the room"
I ask my mom, " who is that? " she changes the conversation and says Sierra im calling your mom . I yell, "no that's not your place"
My mom: " what you mean it's not my place if Sierra mother knew , you were pregnant I would want her to call me."
Me: "she needs time to tell her like give her time dang"
My mom: "mmk im giving her a week."
My mom looks at us and says, " skip school again and it's y'all ass , Sierra i will call your mom later and let her know about you skipping school."
I felt bad because Sierra is going to get in all this trouble all because of me. My mom leaves the bathroom and goes back to her room, as i check my phone it says I have a voicemail from Devin, which is strange because in my generation nobody really leaves voicemails anymore I listen to it and all I here is, Shaquavia saying, "I want us to be a family again, i miss you, what we had, let's make it happen again, just one more chance Devin i promise you won't regret it." I never felt so betrayed in my life .
