Chapter 11

Devin -
When Sierra threw the pregnancy test i was surprised, but then i was in denial but then we never used protection so much thoughts going through my head, all i hear Shaquavia saying in the background, " you don't know what she's done in the past 2 weeks " but then i know Azure ain't like that but then again she was willing to throw it back on the 2nd night, but then again she was a virgin. I don't know what to believe all I know is that Azure is pregnant and 9 times out of 10 im the daddy . i got put out my thoughts by the sound of a loud crash, I run out to the street i see it's the car that Azure sped off in flipped upside down while the other car crashed in the tree , I seen Sierra on the sidewalk like she got ejected from the car,  the guilt I felt when I told Azure she didn't mean nothing to me could not compare to the guilt i was feeling now. I ran full force towards the car not even prepared for the worse , knowing that Azure might be carrying my baby made me feel 10x worse. My neighbors were on their phone calling the police, while some were recording. I tried to open the back door it was jammed, I was so attempted to get Azure out that car. I screamed, " MAN SOMEBODY FUCKING HELP ME " i was so frustrated and annoyed, One of my neighbors handed me a big stone and I bashed the car window in. I seen Azure she had blood coming out her head, her eyes were close she wasn't moving. I kept saying "Azure babygirl can you hear me? say something if you could hear me, Azure AZURE AZURE SAY SOMETHING MAN, babygirl hold on man, ima be by your side the whole time i got you, the Ambulance almost here, just hold on for me please" One of my neighbors ran over to Sierra, she wasn't breathing, Sierra sister was yelling "SIERRAAAAAAAAA"  while her foot was stuck underneath her seat she couldn't move the only person that was ok in the situation was the one who caused the accident. He got out the car drunk as ever looking high off drugs and couldn't even walk straight. I walked over and took my anger out on him, i punched him in his face knocked him cold out to the floor. I kept diggin in his shit i was so mad and had built up anger from Reggie and all the bullshit going on. Shaquavia attempts to get me off of the man . I looked at Shaquavia, " THIS IS YOUR FAULT, IF YOU WOULDA JUST STAYED AWAY FROM REGGIE I WOULDA NEVER BEEN IN THIS PREDICAMENT NONE OF THIS WOULDA NEVER HAPPENED. " The ambulance approaches, they get Azure and Sierra sister out the car, Sierra look like she wasn't gone make it, the Ambulance speeds off to the hospital, I run to my car and speed to the hospital leaving everything and everyone behind me.
I get to the hospital, I walk inside go to the front desk and ask the receptionist, " im here to see Azure Coleman." She responds,"are you her family?" I tell her,"no her boyfriend."
The receptionist responds,"sorry sir we can't let you in family only."
"i'm basically her family she's carrying my baby I just need to know she's ok im begging you." She responds with an attitude, " sir please have a seat if I have to tell you again I'll be force to call security." As i turn around i see a doctor talking to Sierra's mom and by her reaction I can tell the outcome isn't good.
Sierra's mom: WHY MY BABY , WHY HER? LORD PLEASE GIVE ME THE STRENGTH.
Sierra was pronounced dead before she even reached the hospital, she died instantly she cracked her scull open after being ejected out the car on to the concrete. Next thing you know i see Azure's mom walking into the hospital I could tell before she walked into the hospital she wasn't prepared for the worse. She sees Sierra mom and immediately has a break down, she runs to the receptionist," AZURE COLEMAN WHERE IS SHE? WHAT ROOM?."
Receptionist: " are you family ma'am?"
Azure's mom: " YES IM FAMILY IM HER MOM WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER "
Receptionist: " may I please see your I.D.?"
Azure's mom: " you've got to be kidding me my daughter could be having her last few breaths and you're asking for my I.D.?"
Receptionist:"'please forgive me but I have to follow the policy" Azure's mom throws the receptionist her I.D. she then responds and says," room 318. " Before she runs off I yell,"please Ms.colemam can you tell the receptionist im family I need to see Azure I need to know she's ok." Azure's mom turns to the receptionist and says, " this is my son-n-law I'm bringing him with me" she replies," no problem." I guess she figured she gave us enough trouble. As we run to room 318 I see Azure I wanted to break down but I had to be strong for her mother.
Azure's mom: is she ok?
Doctor: yes Azure will be fine but the baby didn't make it.
I got teary eyed my actual first child from my semen didn't make it. It's like God doesn't want me to have a actual kid of my own, Devin Jr is mine but it's not my blood running through him.
Azure's mom: what do you mean baby? I think you have your documents mixed up Azure was never pregnant, you've probably have her mixed up with Sierra, her friend.
I'm thinking to myself because im confused, Sierra was pregnant what's going on? I thought Azure was pregnant.
Doctor: no ma'am Azure was most definitely pregnant.
Azure's mom: that's impossible she would have to be having sex for wait
Azure's mom turns and looks back at me.
Azure's mom: have you and my daughter been having sexual relations?
I swallowed, looked around i don't want to lie so i said," it was only one time i promise." knowing that one time turned into like 3 rounds.
Azure's mom: were you the father of her baby?
Me: I believe so i took her virginity.
Azure's mom: how long you guys been having sexual relations.
I felt like i wasn't in the position to tell her that, so I just said," I feel azure should be the one to tell you that not me." Azure's mom looked so upset and then she asked that question," how old are you sir, you having relations with my daughter I mean I knew who you were but now that you guys are having sex, creating babies I need to know everything about you." I said," I don't think this is the appropriate place to have this conversation." The doctor says," um Azure will just need to be in the hospital for a good week when she's out she'll need to have rest, that means no school, no sex Mr.boyfriend, and drink lots of water and vitamin C. I decide to stay at the hospital with Azure all night , just keep her comfort her mom eventually fell asleep in the lobby, I sat by her all night holding her hand just staring at how beautiful she is naturally. I know Azure isn't prepared for what's going to happen when she finally realizes that she lost our baby and her bestfriend the same day. I hear footsteps by the door and see Shaquavia.
Me: why are you here?
Shaquavia: I needed to see if you were ok.
Me: Shaquavia what happened today was a accident, it was temptation, i never met to lead you on, but right now my heart is with Azure and I'll appreciate it if you leave.
Shaquavia: don't you get tired of lying?
Me: lying about what?

Azure
I was woken by whispering, I could barely move my neck but i heard Devin and Shaquavia talking, which was awkward to me, like why is she here. I decided to eavesdrop
Shaquavia: don't you get tired of lying?
Me: lying about what?
Shaquavia: you always try to make me look like the bad person when in reality you brought this on yourself. you decided to take me in, you decided to still be in Jr.'s life, you decided to pick me up from the hospital, you decided to take me to your house, you decided to take my clothes off, you decided to have sex with me, you knew what you were getting yourself into , it takes two people to have sex i didn't rape you, maybe you should put the blame on yourself to because I weigh 109 pounds if you told me no, I wouldn't be able to even force you cause im so small. Stop blaming everyone for everything and blame yourself.
Me: Shaquavia im not about to argue with you leave man.
Shaquavia: no and you try to act so innocent I knew all about you and Denisha when we were together.

I thought about it wait him and Denisha that's his sister.
Shaquavia continues : You claim you were always faithful but was fucking her on the side, claiming that's your sister, but you were a only child. Devin I know everything about you, yeah nigga i did my research, after your mom died and your dad abandon you, you were put in foster care, where Denisha's family brought you in. Devin you can't play me, I've been peeped game and you always asked why I slept with your homeboys, there go your answer. So Devin your the reason, blame yourself, take ownership you have fuck boy ways.

I was so weak but I lifted my head up and looked at Devin.
Me: Devin is she telling the truth?
Devins turns around and looks surprise to see me awake while Shaquavia smiles. I could tell Shaquavia did it on purpose but I wanted to know, I didn't want to believe it , I wanted to hear from his own mouth that it was true.
