Chapter 8: Going Home

—Laurance's P.O.V.————————
For the rest of the night Aphmau stayed by my side. I wake up seeing her in the chair passed out. I smile than realize that today is the day I get to go home. "Well good morning" Aphmau said waking up. "Good morning to you too" I said. "Are you excited to go home" she asked. "Yeah! I can't wait to get out of here" I said. "Well you're going to have to wait for the doctor to help unhook everything" she said pointing to all the medical equipment. "Hey guys" someone said while coming in. It was Nicole. "Hey" Aphmau said. "I have some great news! I got an opportunity to take a course here and, I'm gonna take it" Nicole said excitedly. "Wow that's great" Aphmau said getting up to hug her. "That's awesome" I said.

Just then the doctor came in. "I'm sorry but, can you ladies please leave while I unhook everything from Laurance" the doctor said. "Yeah sure" Aphmau said while going to the door. Once they leave, the doctor starts to unhook everything. "You're a lucky kid you know that" the doctor said. "That I'm alive" I asked. "No, that you have friends who care about you. That and, you have a girl who was very upset to see you hurt. If you hadn't noticed, she likes you" he said. I start to blush. "Alright. There you go" he said. "Thanks" I said. "Before you go, you should talk to that girl. I know it's not my business but, I think you two should talk" the doctor said. "What are you some kind of love doctor" I laughed. "Some people in the office call me that" he laughed. "But really, give it a shot" he said in a more serious tone. I nod my head and walk out.

I walk out and, see everyone waiting for me. "Are you ready" Garroth asked. "Yeah let's go" I said. As we walk out I yell "freedom!" Everyone laughs. "So who is riding with who" Katelyn asked. "I'll take Dante, Aphmau, and Laurance" Nicole said. "Ok so I'll take everyone else" Garroth said. Once we get in, I look at the seat. It had huge a red stain. "Wow what happened back hear" I asked. It goes silent. Then I realized that I did that. "Oh uh sorry Nicole. I'll clean it if you want" I said. "Nah it's ok" she said. "Are you sure" I asked. "Yeah it'll be fine" she said. The rest of the ride was silent.

We finally arrive at our houses. Nicole drops us off then leaves. "Hey Laurance can I talk to you real quick" Aphmau asked. "Yeah sure" I said. "Laurance are you coming in" Dante shouted across the street. "Yeah I'll be there in a minute" I yell back. I turn to Aphmau. "So what did you want to talk about" I asked. "I just wanted to say I'm sorry and, I'm glad you're ok" she said. I could see she was blushing. "How many times do I have to tell you, it's not your fault" I said. "Yes it is my-" I interrupted her by kissing her. Honestly I didn't care what she had to say because it was my fault. She pulls away and, I see her blushing bright red. "Uh I'm sorry I didn't mean to-" "it's ok" Aphmau interrupted. "Look, can we talk about this later" she asked. "Y-Yeah sure" I said. "Meet me here at 7pm" she said. "I smirked and said "So is this a date". "W-What no...I just need to talk to you. That's all" she said. "Ok see ya then" I said walking away.

I walk into my house and, see Dante looking at me. "So what was that all about" he asked. "Nothing...I'm gonna go get some sleep ok" I said. "Ok" he said. I go to sleep looking at the clock. It was 3:45pm. "Good I have some time" I said to myself. I start to fall asleep.

When I woke up I felt refreshed. My jaw still hurts but, other than that I felt good. I yawn and look at my clock. "It's 7:30pm! Crap I gotta get ready" I said while panicking.

—Aphmau's P.O.V.————————
I look at my watch and sigh. I've been waiting for Laurance for the past half hour. I go back inside. As soon I close the door I run straight to my room. "Is Aphmau~Senpai ok? Kawii~Chan is getting worried" Kawii~Chan said outside my room. "I-I'm fine...just tired" I lied. "Ok. As long as Aphmau~Senpai is fine" Kawii~Chan said. "Aphmau..." I hear a faint voice. "Kawii~Chan, I said I'm fine" I snapped as I open the door. I was shocked to see it was Laurance standing at the door. "Go away" I said slamming the door in his face. "Look I'm sorry! I slept in! I didn't mean to" Laurance yelled through the door. "Just go home I don't want to talk to you" I yelled back about to cry. "Aphmau please...just talk to me" he said lowering his voice. "What do you want" I said. "What I want is for you to open the door so I can see your beautiful face" he said. I start to blush. I go over to the door and open it. I look at Laurance. Our eyes meet. "I-I got you these to say I'm sorry" he said while giving me flowers. "Aw Laurance. You didn't have to do that" I said while hugging him. "Yes I did...Look, when I was at the hospital a doctor told me something that made me start to think" he said then stops. I can tell he's nervous. "What did the doctor tell you" I asked. "He told me that I was lucky because I have friends who care about me. That and I have...you. He also said you didn't like to see me in pain or hurt" he said looking at me. I feel my face burn up. "Well I-I don't like to see anyone hurt" I said. He looks down as if I was letting him down. "Are you ok" I asked. "Yeah I'm fine. It's just that I thought you cared about me. Wait that came out wrong. What I meant was-" I cut him off by kissing him on the cheek. He starts to blush. "I do care about you Laurance. In fact I care about you a lot! I l-li-" before I could finish I panicked and ran out. "Aphmau wait" he said following behind me.
