Chapter 17: Off to Meteli

—Aphmau's P.O.V.————————
"Done" Katelyn said while falling on the couch. "Haha is packing that bad for you" I said. "Yes, yes it is" she said with glare. "Well it's a good thing we're done packing because we need to get going" I said. "Ok let's get going then" Katelyn said as she picked up all her stuff. I was about to do the same thing but, my phone buzzed. I looked over at it and, it was a text from Garroth. The text said:

Hey! Are you ready to go??

I replied:
Yeah I'm ready but, I thought we were driving up to your parent's house separately.

He said:
Yeah we were but, the guys think it would be better to go together. If that's fine with you that is.

I said:
Sure that's fine. I was just wondering. See ya then!

He said:
Ok bye

"There's been a little change of plans" I said. "What do you mean" Katelyn asked with a confused look on her face. Originally it was supposed to be just me and Katelyn driving down to the house and, the guys and Cadenza would drive up in a different car but, I guess not. "Instead of going to Garroth's parent's house separately, we are all going together" I said. "Ugh why" Katelyn complained. "Because it's just easier so stop complaining and, let's go" I said as I grabbed my stuff. "Fiiiine but, Travis better not try anything" Katelyn said. "Haha, I'm not promising anything" I said as I walked out the door.

Once we get all of out stuff outside, we see Dante and Travis loading their car with everyone's stuff. "Hey guys! Are you ready" I said while waving. "Hey! We're ready. All we need is Katelyn's things and, yours stuff to pack in the trunk" Travis said. I hand him my things and, get in the car. "So how far do your parents live" Katelyn asked as she got in the car. "Not too far. About 10-15 minutes" Garroth said who was already in the drivers seat. "Is everybody ready" Garroth asked. Everyone replied with a yeah. "Let's see who we have. We have

And me" Garroth said. "Ok we have everyone now let's go" Katelyn said slightly annoyed. "Here we go" I thought.

—Laurance's P.O.V————————
I finally made it to Meteli. It feels good to be back in my hometown. Great now I have to fine my dad...This should be fun...When it comes to my dad, he will find any way possible to embarrass me or, Cadenza. I hope he won't do anything bad but, I doubt that.

As I make my way through the airport, I spot my dad. "Uh oh" I thought as I see my dad holding this big sign that lit up. The sign said 'Laurance Zvahl' with a big arrow pointing at my dad. Honestly, I don't know if I want to go over there but, I go anyways. "Hey dad" I said. "Laurance! It's so good to see you again! I'm so happy you're moving back" my dad said. "It's good to be back. Come on let's go home" I said.

~Time Skip~

Once we were at my dad's house, I went straight for my old room. It looked the way it did when I left for Phoenix Drop. "Hey Laurance, I'm going to bed. You should too" my dad said. "Ok I will" I said. I wasn't really that tired so I just stayed up and, hung up my posters and stuff like that. There was just one thing on my mind every since I got here-
Aphmau

I couldn't stop asking myself the same things like "Was this the right thing to do?" or "Should I call and, let her explain?" I had no idea what to do. I do admit that moving away was a bit extreme but, that's only because of school. I do miss her but, does she miss me? Why did she do this? Was it even her fault? I guess I'll never know...

—Aphmau's P.O.V————————
We finally made it to Meteli. I didn't realize how long the flight would be. I also didn't realize how Katelyn can get motion sickness that fast. She was puking for most of the trip. I hope she will feel better.

"The next step is finding a hotel or something" Travis said. "Why can't I just ask my dad if we can stay at his place" Cadenza asked. "Because Laurance is there. I think he needs a little more time to cool off. He did move away from us anyways. It would be dumb to put salt on the wound" Dante said. "Wait I have an idea! Follow me" Cadenza said. "Uh ok? Wait where are we going" Katelyn asked. "I completely forgot that I have an apartment out here. I got it a few months before I moved to Phoenix Drop" Cadenza said. "Why didn't you sell it" Garroth asked. "My dad said that he wanted to keep it in case I come back. He also said that he'd keep up with the rent" she said. "Wow he seems like a pretty nice guy" Dante said. "How far is your place from here" I asked. "Not that far away. We will have to take a bus though" Cadenza said. "Ok well then let's go" I said. I just wanted to see Laurance again. I miss everything about him. His baby blue eyes, his brown hair, his cute laugh. Everything about him is perfect.

As I was trapped in my thoughts, I feel something tug on my arm. Pulling me back to reality, I look up and, see Katelyn telling me that we were here. As we stop at Cadenza's door she stops to unlock it. "It might be a little small but, TA DA~" she said in a cheerful tone. It was a nice little apartment that looked over Meteli. No wonder why she would live in an apartment like this. "The boys get the couch and floor while the girls get the bedrooms" Cadenza said. "What!? Why can't we sleep in the bedrooms" Travis whined. "I'm the one who let you into my house so I make the rules" Cadenza said while glaring at Travis. She can really be scary when she wants to. "Yes ma'am" Travis surrendered. "Good now let's get to bed" she said. "Looks like Katelyn beat you to it" Garroth said while pointing at a fast asleep Katelyn. Everyone laughed quietly knowing that if we were any louder we would have woken up the beast.

Everyone is fast asleep but, me. I'm wide awake. Ever since we got here all I can think about is Laurance. Is he ok? Does he want to see us? I hope he does because there's no turning back now.

—Laurance's P.O.V————————
As I'm looking at my phone, I see an old picture of Aphmau and I. Looking back on this, it makes me happy seeing the old us. The us that could be open with each other and, actually hangout with each other. I miss the old us. I should call her but, what if she won't answer? Should I go back? I can't go back it would break my dad's heart. Maybe it's best I stay here because I'm not causing any trouble for them. Yeah this was the right thing to do. I just need to let them go but, how? They have been there for me for as long as I can remember. I don't know maybe I need some sleep. Yeah that's it! I just need some sleep...
