Chapter 16: Gone?

—Aphmau's P.O.V.————————
I couldn't believe what I saw. I gasped and took a few steps back. "What's wrong Aphmau" Cadenza said with a worried look on her face. She walked up to me then, looked in Laurance's room. "W-We're too late" Cadenza said as she bursted into tears. I tried my hardest not to cry but, I eventually gave up. "Come on Cadenza. I'm sure we will get this all figured out. Let's get you to the couch or something so we can talk about what happened" Travis said while comforting Cadenza. Who knew Travis could be like that. Normally he's all about flirting and, getting the girl but, he seems understanding.

Just as I'm about to walk back into the living room, I take one more look at Laurance's room. There was nothing in the room. All of his clothes, posters, and even his computer were all...gone....

Once Cadenza comes down, she explains to Travis what happened. "Wow...I didn't even realize that he came back" Travis said as he looked down. "Travis...it's not your fault" I said. "Yes it is! I wasn't being observant! I feel so useless! I know I could have done something to stop him but, I didn't! Now everyone is hurt because of my stupidity-" Just then, Katelyn slapped him. I was shocked she did that. Even Cadenza was but, then again it is Katelyn. "It's not your fault so shut up! I don't want to hear you say something like that ever again! Even if you are stupid, I don't want to hear you say that" Katelyn shouted. I looked over at Katelyn and, saw her blushing. "Sorry....H-Hey, you're blushing" Travis said while holding his face and, pointing at Katelyn. "W-What!?! No I'm not" Katelyn said. "Yeeeeeeess you are" Travis smirked. "Do you want to get slapped again" Katelyn asked. "N-No! S-Sorry m'am" Travis said with a nervous look on his face. "Don't call me m'am" Katelyn said while slapping the other side of Travis' face. "Owww....Really" Travis complained. At this point Cadenza and I laughing our heads off. "What's so funny" Travis asked. "You two are cute together" Cadenza said while winking at Katelyn. "S-Shut up! We aren't here for me and Travis. We are here for Laurance, remember" Katelyn said with her arms crossed. The room goes silent for a second. "You're right. So what are we gonna do? It's not like he's going to answer his phone to any of us" I said. "That's true but, why can't we just drive down or, fly to Meteli" Travis said. "It's a 12 hour drive to Meteli. There no way we could do that" Cadenza said. "What about flying there" Katelyn asked. "It's pretty expensive. I doubt we all have enough money for one plane ticket for there and, back" I said. Just then, Dante opens the door.

"Hey guys. What are you doing here" he asked. "We are trying to find a way to get Laurance back. Do you know anything about what happened" I asked. I see Dante's face go pale. "Dante are you ok" I asked. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine. It's just that I talked to Laurance after the incident..." he said. "What?!? Please tell us what happened" I begged. "Sure- wait, you said he's gone" Dante said with a concerned face. "Yeah....Go look for yourself" I said while pointing towards Laurance's room. Dante walks over and, looks into the room. He looks down then, walks back to me. "See...S-So what happened" I asked. "W-Well I saw him come back from wherever he ran off to and, I tried talking to him but, I said something I probably shouldn't have..." Dante said while still looking down. "What did you say" I asked. "I said 'What was that back there? I've never seen you like this. Even when she was with Aaron'. He cut me off though and, told me to shut up. I regret ever saying that..." Dante said. He looked like he was about to cry. "It's ok Dante. It's not your fault either" I said. "So what are we gonna do" Katelyn asked. "I don't know. There's nothing we can do" I said. I had given up hope. We couldn't get through to him. All he would do is ignore us. Just then Garroth came in.

"Hey. What's everyone doing over here" he asked. "We are trying to find a way to get Laurnace back" Cadenza said. "Did he run away or something" Garroth asked. Once we explain what happened he said "Wow I didn't think he'd go this far." The room got quiet. No one knew what to do. "Wait I have and idea" Garroth said while pulling out his phone. All of us were confused. "Uh whatcha doing Garroth" Travis asked. "My dad can help us out with getting Laurance back" he said while calling his dad. "How" I asked. "You'll see. Hey dad! Can I ask you a favor" Garroth asked. There was a pause. "Can you meet me at the local park in 15 minutes" he asked. "Great thanks! Oh before you go, can you bring wallet" Garroth asked. "Why does he need his dad's wallet" I asked myself. "I'll explain at the park" Garroth said. There was another pause. "Alright see you then, bye" he said then, ended the call. "Um Garroth why are we going to the park and, why do we need your dad's wallet" Katelyn asked. "You'll see. C'mon let go to the park" he said.

~Time Skip~

Once we are at the park we see dad. "Hey dad" Garroth said as he hugged his father. "Hey Garroth. So why exactly do you need my wallet? Do any of you guys know" he asked. "Nah, he hasn't told any of us what's going on" Dante replied. "Long story short, we need to get to Meteli. Is it ok if you could help us pay the plane ticket" Garroth asked. "Sorry but, can you excuse us for a second" I said while pulling Garroth off to the side. "What are you thinking!?! Your dad doesn't have to do that for us. Besides that's way to much money" I said. "Don't you remember my family is very wealthy? I'm sure he'll let us do this. Besides I want what's best which is you and, everyone to be happy again" he said. "Are you sure about this" I asked. I don't like that he's doing this for us. He doesn't have to. "Yes I'm positive. C'mon let's go" he said. We started to walk back to where everyone was standing.

"So can you help us out" Garroth asked. "Do you really think I have enough money for that" his father asked. "But dad, we really need to go there" Garroth whined. "My final answer is no" he said. "Garte what's taking you so long" a women asked as she came up to us. "Mom" Garroth said as he ran up to hug her. "Oh GarGar it's so good to see you" she said. "Can you help us get to Meteli? I know it's a lot to ask but-" "Of course I can" Garroth's mom interrupted. "Zianna, where are we going to find the money to pay for 6 plane tickets" Garte asked. "You idiot do you not remember that we have a plane! After all we are wealthy" Zianna said. "I don't even know if that thing works" Garte said. "Well you can lend them the plane you use for work" she said. "What no! That is for work" Garte complained. "Garte" Zianna said while giving him a death stare. "Ok you can use the plane. I expect you all to behave and, not damage it, ok" Garte said. "Yes sir" I said. "Thanks mom and dad! You have no idea how much this means" Garroth said while hugging both his parents. "Anything but for my GarGar" she said. "You guys can come over tomorrow at noon" Garte said. "Ok thank you sir for doing this! You to Mrs. Ro'meave" Cadenza said. "You're welcome. We will see you tomorrow bye~" Zianna said and, with that both Garte and Zianna left. "Yay we're going to Meteli! I haven't been there in ages" Cadenza said while jumping up and down. "Haha ok Cadenza calm down" I said. "But I can't! Wait we need to go pack! Come on let's gooo" Cadenza said while running to Garroth's car. Everyone started to laugh as we walked back to the car. "I guess we're going to Meteli..."
