Chapter 4: The Aftermath

—Aphmau's P.O.V.————————
All of a sudden Laurance faints, but I catch him in my arms. I start to blush as I lay him down on the ground. "I guess that last punch really got to him" I said to myself. I put his head in my lap trying to wake him up. "Laurance! Wake up" I said while moving his head so he could wake up. Each time I try to wake him I get no response. This starts to worry me. I'm at the point where I'm screaming his name in his hear. "LAURANCE! PLEASE ANSWER" I scream as I burst into tears. "Aphmau what happened" someone from behind me said. I see that it's Katelyn and Nicole running over to us. "I-I don't know! I walked out hear and, I found Laurance and Aaron fighting. I tried to tell them to stop but, Aaron gave Laurance one last punch then ran off. Next thing I know Laurance is unconscious in my arms" I sobbed. "It's ok Aphmau. Katelyn! Go get Dante, Garroth, and Travis NOW" Nicole ordered. She comes closer to Laurance to see the injuries he had. His eye and lip was bleeding. He had cuts all over his face and knuckles. The guys come running out of the auditorium with Katelyn, Cadenza, Kawii~Chan, Isabel, and Zoey. "What happened to Laurance" Garroth said worried while trying to catch his breath. I explain to him what happened while I'm still sobbing. "How bad is it Nicole" Dante asked. "It looks pretty bad" Nicole replied. Nicole is going to college to become a doctor so she knows what she's doing. She told us that she want to go to MCU.
"Will Laurance~Kun be ok Nicole~Chan" Kawii~Chan said. "I think he will be fine" she said. "I hope" Nicole mumbled. "So what are we gonna do with him" Travis asked. "I don't know? Do we take him to the hospital" Zoey asked. "I think he just needs to rest. Can you guys help me bring him to my car" Nicole asked while looking at Garroth, Travis, and Dante. "Sure, I'll help" Garroth said as the other guys agreed. "I'll help" I blurted out. Everyone looks at me. "I think you need some space Aphmau. You saw a lot" Cadenza said with everyone agreeing with her. "Yeah I think it's best you go home" Katelyn said. "I want to help and make sure he is ok" I said. "Laurance~Kun will be fine Aphmau~Senpai. Nicole~Chan will be with Laurance~Kun" Kawii~Chan said. "Ok yeah she will be there but, I want to make sure he is ok! That's all" I snapped at Kawii~Chan. Everyone looked at me funny. "Why would I say that! Great everyone thinks I'm crazy now" I said to myself in panic. "Uh Aphmau are you ok" Isabel asked. "Y-Yeah I'm fine..." I said embarrassed. "I'm still going with them" I said. "Alright fine but, give Nicole some space so she can help Laurance" Garroth said. Everyone agreed.
Now Garroth, Dante, and Travis help get Laurance in the back of Nicole's car. I get in the back with Laurance. "Why don't you sit up here with me" Nicole asked looking at me through the mirror with a concerned look on her face. I look down at Laurance who was unconscious in my lap and, looked at Nicole through the mirror and said "Nah, I'm ok". "Alright" she said as she pulls out of her parking spot.

—Nicole's P.O.V.————————
Aphmau is starting to worry me. She snapped at Kawii~Chan and, that doesn't sound like something Aphmau would do. Does she like Laurance? Maybe she thinks I'm getting in the way of her and Laurance. All I know is that when Kawii~Chan said that Laurance'll be fine because he is with me, Aphmau didn't look to happy about that.
Once we are at my house, Aphmau and I lay Laurance on the couch. "Ok I'll start working" I said. "Ok..." She said softly. "Are you ok Aphmau? You've been acting weird lately" I finally say to her. "Huh? Y-Yeah I'm fine... I'll let you do your thing" Aphmau said. She walks out of the room. I go get my medical kit I got from my dad. He thought that if I had it, it would help me in class.
I open my kit and grab some of the gauze to stop the bleeding. I held the gauze on the wounds for what seemed like forever until I heard Aphmau come in. "Hey. Need any help" she said softly. "What's going on with here? She never acts like this" I said to myself. "No I'm ok. Thanks for the offer though" I said. "Ok...Just tell me if you need anything" she said. "Ok" I said to her as I focus on Laurance again. Aphmau leaves the room. I stop all the bleeding. Then I look at the left side of his face. "Wow..." I said to myself. The left side of his face is swollen and has cuts everywhere. I thought I stopped all the bleeding but, around his eye there was nothing but blood. "Aphmau" I yell. She comes into the room in panic. "Yeah" she said. "Help me get Laurance into my car" I said as I pack everything up. "W-Why? Is he ok" she said with a worried look on her face. "I hope so. He needs a real doctor, not just from a student learning how to become one. All I know is that if we don't hurry, he could bleed out" I said trying not to panic. "W-What" she screams. "Aphmau, come down! He has lost a lot of blood. We need to go now" I said while grabbing Laurance. "Ok" Aphmau said while trying to fight back the tears.
Once we get to my car I tell Aphmau to tell the others to meet us at the hospital. She is in the back with Laurance and I look through the mirror at them. We both have blood on our hands from carrying Laurance to the car."It's gonna be ok" She said softly while looking at Laurance.
Once we get to the hospital we see everyone waiting outside with a doctor and a stretcher. I pull up at the front. Aphmau and I get out and carry Laurance to the stretcher. Garroth faints from seeing all the blood. "Wow...this kids a mess" the doctor said to himself. He yells for back up and wheels Laurance to the back leaving everyone outside. We all go into the waiting room and wait silently. I look at Aphmau and see her trying not to cry. I walk over to her and sit down. "It's not your fault" I whisper to her trying to help. "Yes it is my fault! Don't you get it...I could have called someone instead of trying to wake him up myself" she said bursting into tears. The room goes silent. "Who came here with Laurance Zvahl" a nurse said while looking at a clipboard. "We did" Dante said as we all stand up. She gives us that look like something bad had happened. "Please follow me" she said.
