Chapter 14: A Misunderstanding

—Laurance's P.O.V.————————
I wake up to the smell of bacon. I get up and walk out to the kitchen. I see Dante, Garroth, and Travis at the table. "Mm, what smells so good" I asked walking into the kitchen. "LAURANCE?!?!? WHERE WERE YOU" they all said unison. I almost forgot about me being missing...oops. "I was kidnapped or something" I said casually. "HOW CAN YOU BE SO CALM AFTER WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU" Garroth said. "I don't know. A lot of stuff has happened to me in the past few weeks" I said while getting some breakfast. Once they weren't as shocked, everyone got up and, gave me a hug. "Thank Irene you're ok" Dante said. "We really are glad you're ok. Especially Aphmau. She been a wreck ever since you left" Travis said. "Aphmau? Aphmau! I gotta go see her" I said as I started to run back to my room to get ready.

—Garroth's P.O.V.————————
"Man, he must really like her, huh" I asked. "Yeah I guess you'll do anything for someone you love" Travis sighed. It got quiet. "Hey! Why don't we have a party for Laurance" Dante suggested while breaking the silence. "Why would we do that" Travis asked. "To celebrate Laurance being back! Don't be stupid" I laughed as I hit him upside the head. "Oww" Travis said rubbing his head. Both Dante and I start to laugh. "We should make it a surprise party" Dante said coming down. "Yeah that's a perfect idea Dante" I said. Just then the doorbell rang. "I got it" I said while getting from the table.

I open the door to see who it was. It was Aphmau. "Hey Aphmau. Uh are you ok" I asked. It looked like she had been crying. Without saying anything, she bursts into tears and, hugs me. "What's wrong Aphmau" I asked. "H-He's gone! I just got him back" she cried. "Shhh...Wait do you mean Laur-" "A-Aphmau" someone interrupted from down the hall. I look over and, see Laurance looking at us. "L-Look Aphmau! Laurance is ok" I said trying to make her look up. She buried her face in my chest. "Stop messing with me" she cried. "B-But I'm not" I said. I look back over at Laurance who looks angry and sad. I couldn't tell if he wanted to tackle me or just leave. Probably both.

"H-How could you" he said with tears in his eyes. "Look I can explain-" I don't care Garroth" Laurance interrupted while coming closer to us. He was clenching his fists. Next thing I know I'm on the ground with Laurance's fist to my face. "HOW COULD YOU" he said while punching me. "LAURANCE GET OFF OF HIM" everyone yelled. Dante and Travis try to get him off of me. Laurance starts to break down. He gets up and, runs out the front door. "I guess I was right. I was tackled and, he left" I thought to myself.

—Laurance's P.O.V.————————
I hate Garroth! Why would he do this to me?!?! 1: He decided to cheat on his girlfriend and, 2: He decided to go after my girl...Or at least she was my girl. This is such a great welcome back present. Maybe for college I should go to back to Meteli. My dad said to apply for Meteli University. I told him I would because I felt bad and, didn't want to say no.

Just after I ran out the house, something caught my eye. It was in the mailbox. I opened it as quick as I could and, ran. Once I felt like I was far enough from the house, I sat on a bench and, looked at the mail. On the front of the envelope it said Meteli University. When I read this my heart sunk. The letter read:

Dear Mr. Zvahl,
Congratulations on getting in to Meteli University. You will start this upcoming. September. We hope to see you there.

~Council of Meteli University

"I-I got in" I mumbled to myself. If I did get in, I probably would have turned it down because I wanted to be with Aphmau but, now I know I'm going. There's nothing here left for me. So what's the point of staying? I guess this is meant for the best of things.

—Aphmau's P.O.V.————————
"G-Garroth! Are you ok" I asked running over to him. "Yeah I'm fine but, I don't think Laurance is. You should go talk to him" he said while sitting up. "Are you sure? I want to make sure you're ok. Plus I think he needs some space" I said. "Yes I'm sure. He needs someone to talk to" Garroth said. "You know what, you're right" I said while getting up. I run out the front door. I see Laurance run down the street. I decided to run after him.

He's runs all the way to the local park and, sits on a bench. I sneak around so he doesn't see me. I look at him and, he has an envelope in his hand. "I wonder what's in the envelope" I thought. Laurance opens the letter and, mumbled "I-I got in." " what did he get into" I thought. He gets up and, starts to walk around the park. Once I see he starts walking, I come out of my hiding spot. "Laurance" I yelled. He turned around and, as soon as he saw me he picked up his pace and, went the opposite direction I was in. "Laurance please talk to me" I said as a ran over to him. As soon as I get to him, he turns around and walks away. I grabbed his arm. "Laurance please talk to me. I can't stand to see you like this" I said. "Than why don't you go see your boyfriend instead" he said then walked away. "What...?" I said to myself. "What do you mean? I am talking to my boyfriend" I said. As soon as I heard what I said I look down and, start to feel my face heat up. I look up and, see Laurance turn around. "Well you better keep looking because I'm not him" he said then walked away. When I heard this it felt like someone just ran me over with a truck. I started to tear up. "Laurance..."
