The nurse brought in breakfast for me, all of my brothers were given permission to stay the rest of the night since I was brought in early in the morning around 1am, they were given a spare bed next to me to sleep in, the sofa-bed, and a chair that converted to a small bed as well, Damon slept with me. I poked at my eggs, wishing I could eat the bacon Cody had gotten with the rest of my brothers for their breakfast at the hospital cafeteria.
"You need to eat something, Vi. Please stop picking at the food. Doctors orders, if you want to get out by tonight."
I look towards Dean and nod my head, spooning some eggs into my mouth. After ten minutes, I had managed to eat all my porridge and my eggs. The tv was turned to Looney Tunes, Cody and I watching Bugs Bunny trick Daffy Duck into shooting himself, again. I was laughing my little heart out when the nurse came in with some bath things.
"Okay Vi, it is your bath time." I look away from the tv towards the nurse and quickly shake my head, whining in the process. "Okay then, maybe you'll feel better if one of your brothers baths you?"
I turn to Dean and nod my head slowly, my whole face turning red with embarrassment. Dean takes the bath stuff from the young nurse thanking her in the process and then walks into the attached bathroom I have in my hospital room to start the bath for me. After the bathtub is filled with timid water, he comes back and gently lifts me up, setting me down on the toilet to help me undress. My legs are wrapped up in bandages starting from my mid-calf all the way up to my mid-thigh, the doctor noticed some blue bruises on my legs and had decided to wrap it so it can heal properly. I told him I had no idea how they got there but I thought that maybe I hit myself without noticing, he said that it was due to my illness, sometimes I can start getting bruises from walking. I really don't understand but he explained it to my brothers which is all that matters seeing as I had only turned 12 recently and don't need to worry about things like that yet. Dean started to remove the bandages from my legs carefully, obviously it still hurt as I felt a sharp pain. I was then lowered into the bathtub, which of course had bubbles in it with a few rubber duckies. I am only 12, and I love my bath time! I started to play with my rubber duckies and acted out a scene of the 'Ugly Duckling' book, my favorite book by the way. Dean started to wash my hair and my body, then he unplugged the bathtub and wrapped me in a big white towel, carrying me back into the room where William was waiting with my undies and tank top. After slipping on the ugly purple hospital gown and rebandaging my legs, I made myself comfy in my bed and continued to watch reruns of Looney Tunes, Cody laying down next to me on my bed while our older brothers discussed some 'adult stuff' as they put it into.
~~~~~~~~Dean's POV~~~~~~~~
I looked at Viviana and Cody enjoying the cartoon displayed on tv and smiled. I love how they are the only few kids their age in their generation that actually act their age. I mean, as 12 year old kids they shouldn't be worrying about their appearance or hair style. They should be out playing on the jungle gym at school during recess, being 6th graders and all, competing on who is the fastest runner during PE and watching cartoons. I was snapped out of my thoughts by the doctor coming into Vi's room.
"I have her blood results here..." The doctor handed William the paper with Vi's test results on it. "She does suffer from serious P.O.T.S, I would recommend everything that I told you earlier, I have it written behind the paper if you forget. I am going to give Viviana a basic check-up and after you sign her out, she is free to go home. Please, do not let her out of your sight for at least a couple weeks, just until you notice her recovering."
"Thank you, Doctor. I will keep that in mind." William replied, looking over the paper and trying to memorize everything we need to do to help Viviana recuperate.
