We finally landed after a few minutes. I was quickly greeted my a dozen guards waiting to protect me. I sighed as I carefully walked down the ramp. As soon as I was off, they led me inside a building and into a room.
"If you need anything m'lady just ask"
"Actually can you retrieve my one of my bags. It's colored light purple. It should be one of the first bags you'll see"
"Of course m'lady" they bowed and left me alone by myself. But it didn't last long. A knock came from my door.
"Come in" I said loudly. The door swings open and there stood Obi Wan and Anakin.
"Princess Killesa, if it is alright with you, I'll be on my way to meet with the Jedi council. I'll leave Anakin here to watch over you"
"Of course Master Kenobi." He turned around to leave but before he does, He patted Anakin on the shoulder.
"Watch over her and don't do anything you'll regret" he looked Anakin in the eyes.
"Yes master" with out another word said, Obi Wan left. I noticed Anakin awkwardly standing by the door. I chuckled at his discomfort. He looked at me curiously
"What? What's wrong?" I continued laughing softly. He smiled but looked confused.
"It's just you look so awkward standing there. Come why don't you have a seat" I offered him. He agreed and sat down in one of the chairs. He was about to say something when he got interrupted by the same guard from earlier. Only this time he was carrying my belonging.
"Here you are m'lady" he handed me my bag and bowed before leaving. I sat on the sofa and placed the bag next to me.
"Can you keep a secret Anakin?" I asked nervously. I played with my ring as I waited for his answer.
"Of course" he gave me a reassuring smile. I returned one back. I sighed.
"Don't freak out alright" I didn't wait for a response as I pulled out my beloved pet. A Loth cat. I placed her onto my lap as I scratched her head softly. She purred in comfort. I looked up to see shock wash over Anakin's face.
"Is that a Loth cat?" He asked. I nodded.
"Yes. This is Nani. My pet" he looked from me to the cat on my lap.
"How? Aren't they supposed to be vicious and deadly?" He cocked his head ever so slightly. His braid falling down his shoulder.
"Yes but not all of them. I rescued her. She somehow got on board a ship when my father went to Lothal. He was going to kill her but I stopped him. Ever since then, she's been with me all the time"
"Well she's a true sight. Very beautiful. Just like her owner" I stopped petting her and looked up at Anakin. His eyes widen as he realized what he's said.
"I-I mean for a princess. Not that you wouldn't be pretty if you weren't one." He rushed out. His cheeks redden as he scratched the back of his head.
"Thank you Anakin. If it means anything, you're very handsome as well" I felt heat rush up my cheeks as I said those words to him.
A couple hours have passed before Obi wan came back. He explained to us that he needed to go on a mission to Naboo alone. He left right afterwards. It was now late at night. I cleaned of all my makeup and changed into a silk night gown. Nani layed down beside me as I made myself comfortable in my bed. I began thinking of how my life changed in a matter of time. Attempted assassination Leaving Alderran Meeting the Jedi master and his padawan. It just seemed like so much to take in. My mind slowly drifted to Anakin. I don't know what it was but there was something pulling me into him. Maybe it was his kind eyes or beautiful smile. No! No no no. That's just wrong. A future queen has no time for romance while she's learning to lead her people. But yet I can't help but feel that this is somehow right
