While Anakin left, Ravenna and I talked. I told her of what has been happening here while she tells me what has been happening in Alderaan. But all I really wanted to know was how my family are doing.
"How are my mother and father?" She stopped her knitting and looked up to face me.
"They are doing good. My mother is taking care of them along with the other maids" I nodded. But I still felt very worried.
"Astoria relax. They'll be fine. They have Alderaan's top guards on watch" I sighed. I was still very un easy but I guess the guards will help.
" Now, if you will excuse me, I will retire." Ravenna nodded and muttered a quiet good night. She stood up and took Nani out of my arms. She smiles back as she closes the door. I quickly changed into my night robes and slip into bed. I laid my head on a pillow and closed my eyes listening to the busy noises of Coruscant.
As Ravenna closed the door, she couldn't help but feel pity for her closest friend. It'd be hard to imagine loosing your mother and father. "If only I can lessen her pain" Ravenna thought. She gently laid Nani down onto her own bed and made her way into the living room. She wasn't shocked to see Anakin but there was a mysterious man sitting beside him. Their eyes scanned up as soon as they hear my footsteps. Anakin stands up and makes his way up to Ravenna.
"Where is the princess?"
"She's retired for the night" Anakin nodded and bid Ravenna a farewell as she descended into her own room to call it a day. Now the only people who are still awake are Obi wan and his padawan.
"You look tired" Obi wan commented on his young Padawan. He already had dark circles under his eyes and his tan skin looks gaunt.
"I don't sleep well anymore" Anakin shrugged.
"Is it because of your mother?"
"I don't know why I keep dreaming about her now. I haven't seen her since I was little."
"Dreams pass in time"
"I'd rather dream of Astoria. Just being around her is... intoxicating."
"Mind your thoughts, Anakin, they betray you. You've made a commitment to the Jedi Order... a commitment not easily broken... and don't forget she's a future Queen and politician. They can't be trusted"
"She's not like the others" Anakin defended Astoria. It was clear to Obi Wan that Anakin has developed feelings for the young princess.
"It's been my experience that Royalties are only focused on pleasing their people and making sure their reputation is on high." Obi wan argued back.
"Not another lecture, Master. Not all royalties are like that. Padmé wasn't like that at all during her reign."
"That's because her planet was under a war. She has no time to please"
"Well I think she was a good Queen. My instincts are very positive about-" Anakin looks stunned. He looks sharply at Obi wan.
"I sense it too" R2 sounds an alarm and shines a light on the bed. The kouhuns are inches from Astoria's face. Their mouths open, and wicked stinger tongues flick out. Obi Wan and Anakin burst into the room. The kouhuns stand on their hind legs and hiss as Astoria wakes up. Anakin throws himself in front of her, slicing in half the deadly creatures with his lightsaber.
Obi Wan sees the Droid outside the window and races straight at it, crashing through the blinds as he goes through the window, he flies through the glass window and flings himself at the Probe Droid, grabbing onto the deadly machine before it can flee. The Probe Droid sinks under the weight of Obi Wan but manages to stay afloat and fly away, with the Jedi hanging on for dear life, a hundred stories above the city. Anakin and Astoria stare at the sight of Obi Wan being carried off by the droid. Anakin turns to her.
"Stay here" he runs out of her room as Ravenna and a few guards come rushing in. Meanwhile, as Obi wan flys above the city, The Probe droid sends several protective electrical shocks across its surface, causing him to almost lose his grip. As they dart in and out of the speeder traffic, Obi Wan disconnects a wire on the back of the droid. Its power shuts off. Obi Wan and the droid drop like rocks. Obi Wan realizes the error of his ways and quickly puts the wire back. The droid's systems light up again, and it takes off.
The droid bumps against a wall, hoping to knock the Jedi loose. It moves behind a speeder afterburner to scorch him. It takes the jedi wildly between buildings and finally skims across a rooftop as Obi Wan is forced to lift his legs, then run across the roof, tenaciously hanging onto the droid. The droid then heads for a dirty, beat-up speeder hidden in an alcove of a building about twenty stories up. When the pilot of the speeder sees the droid approach with Obi Wan hanging on, she pulls a long rifle out of the speeder and starts to fire at the Jedi, Explosions burst all around Obi Wan.
"I have a bad feeling about this..." He muttered to himself. Finally the droid suffers a direct hit and blows up. Obi Wan falls fifty stories, until a speeder drops down next to him, and he manages to grab onto the back end of the speeder and haul himself toward the cockpit. The Jedi struggles to climb into the passenger seat of the open speeder and sit down next to the driver, Anakin.
"That was wacky! I almost lost you in the traffic."
"What took you so long?" Obi Wan asked as he breathes heavily.
"Oh, you know, Master, I couldn't find a speeder I really liked, with an open cockpit... and with the right speed capabilities... and then you know I had to get a really gonzo color..." They zoom upward in hot pursuit as she fires out the open window at them with her laser pistol.
"If you'd spend as much time working on your saber skills as you do on your wit, young Padawan, you would rival Master Yoda as a swordsman."
"I thought I already did." Anakin teased.
"Only in your mind, my very young apprentice. Careful!! Hey, easy!" As the conversation is going on, Anakin deftly moves in and out of the oncoming traffic, across lanes, between buildings, and miraculously through a construction site.
"Sorry, I forgot you don't like flying, Master."
"I don't mind flying... but what you're doing is suicide." Obi wan clutched his seat tightly as his knuckles began to turn white.
"Master, you know I've been flying since before I could walk, I'm very good at this."
"Just slow down" The Jedi's race through a line of cross-traffic made up of giant trucks. The speeders bank sideways as they slide around right-angle turns between buildings. The mysterious figure races into a tram tunnel.
