Part 2: Chapter 22: The truth

"Do you have the assignment?" Kristy said breaking the silence with her and Lorenzo.

"Yea. It's on my laptop." He said back still staring at her.

"Ahem!" I said trying to get Lorenzo's attention, which it does.

"Sorry. Hey Carly." He said not looking at me in the eyes.

"Look, I'm sorry! It's not true!" I protested.

"Look, I have to go. I'll talk later." He said giving me a wave.

"I thought you guys broke up?" Wilson asked me.

"We never broke up. I just came back home from Italy but we never broke up."

"No, Wilson's right. You guys broke up." Marcy said.

"Ummmm. I think I should get going." Kristy said and left.

I gave Matt a confused look while searching for answers on his face.

He gave me a look back.

"Tell me. Why did we break up if we did then." I said seriously.

They each gave each other a look. "Matt." I said facing him "tell me."

"Don't look at me!" He raised his hands.

"Ugh! Wilson! Tell me right now!" I knew Wilson would give in. He's the weakest out of all of them.

He gave his 'trying the best not to look guilty' look.

He gave in. "Ugh fine! He cheated on you with a girl name Kristy and you found out the day you were leaving. I'm sorry guys but she would've found out sooner or later."

"Wait. Me and Lorenzo aren't dating?" I asked with a confused face.

"Yea.." Daryl said slowly. This means that Matt was possibly telling the truth when I woke up in the hospital.

"I have to find-" hold up a minute.

"You said Lorenzo was cheating on me with a girl named Kristy right?" I asked carefully.

"Yeaaa.. Why?" Wilson said slowly.

"OMG! It makes sense!" I told them. I looked at their faces and what I got back was blank faces.

"You said you and Kristy broke up right?" I said turning to Matt. "Yea."

"Well, you said Lorenzo was cheating on me with a girl named Kristy." I said to Wilson.

"Uh huh." He looked at me carefully.

"You broke up with her and Lorenzo broke up with her. She could be the same Kristy!" I explained to them.

"But you don't know that. There's lots of Kristy's in this world." Kate explained to me.

"When you break up with her?" I asked Matt, trying to prove my point.

"She went to visit someplace while we still dated but I found out she was cheating......" Matt opened his eyes wide.

"SEE! Lorenzo was cheating on me and Kristy was cheating on Matt!" I explained again to them.

The bell rang tell us that is was time to go to class.

On my way to class I was thinking about Lorenzo and Kristy.

Why would Lorenzo lie about being my boyfriend and is dating?

I made my decision.

I'm breaking up with him.
