Chapter 28: breaking up with Lorenzo

"Carls, are you okay?" I ignored him. "Carly, come on. You haven't talked to me all day today and yesterday." He whispered to me again.

"Lorenzo and Carly, would you two like to tell the class what you're talking about?" Mr. Kwerk asked us.

"Sir, with all do respect. I wasn't the one talking, he was." I said pointing to Lorenzo.

"Is that true?" Kwerk asked. "Yes sir." Lorenzo said with a smirk. Why the fuck is he smirking? Its not even funny.

"Well then. I appreciate your honestly Lorenzo but since this is the third time me asking you two to be quiet and since you, Lorenzo admitted that you were talking. I'm going to have to give you detention this afternoon." Mr. Kwerk told Lorenzo. "Yes, sir." Lorenzo said with a smirk AGAIN!!

What is wrong with him? This isn't bad ass this is dumb ass!!! "Since your finding this amusing Lorenzo. I will give you 2 weeks detention and if I hear another work or see another smirk or whatever you can have a 3 week detention." Mr. Kwerk warned Lorenzo.

The rest of the class ooooed while they were talking and I just sat there, amused.

Lorenzo turned to me and gave me a cocky smile but I just rolled my eyes.

By the time Lorenzo finished looking at me with his cocky smile, class was finished.

I rushed into get to the hallway so Lorenzo couldn't find me and talk to me but right when I got to the door I felt an arm curl around my forearm.

"I want to talk to you." I heard Lorenzo whisper to me. His lips was right beside my ear. I could feel his breath land on my skin and smell his breath. I felt goose bumps form on my arm and neck.

He pulled me into an empty classroom and faced me to him.

"Tell me. Why aren't you talking to me?" He asked me. I took a deep breath and told him "I have my reasons."

"Then tell me your reasons." He said simply to me. I took a deep sigh and looked at him straight in the eye "I'm just..... Recovering." I looked in his eyes seeing if he bought it.

He looked like it but then again he looked like he didn't. The truth is- well, I am recovering just not from the crash. I'm reviving from the fact that Kristy is trying to ruin my life just to get Lorenzo and Lorenzo lying straight to my face that we've been dating.

"Alright. Just making sure your alright." He said while making a deep sigh.

He let go of my arm and set me free. I took the first chance I got and headed to the door.

"Carly," he said right when I got to the door "I'm leaving for Italy soon and I was wondering if you wanted to come of your parents let you."

"I know it's been kind of ruff for the past couple weeks but I love you." He told me.

Too late!!!!!! I already said that to another guy!!!!! SUCKA!!! "Lorenzo, I'm sorry but I don't think...... I just- I just don't feel a zing." I told him.

"Are you breaking up with me?" He asked me. I could hear his voice breaking up. "Yes.."

"That's- why?" He said, eyes watering up "I told you that I love you." He protested.

"Yes, I know that but face it. I see the way you look at Kristy and the way Kristy looks at you. I'm sorry." I told him. It was partly true but I just wanted to breakup with him.

This whole time while we were together he lied straight to my face and I hate people that does that.

Lorenzo nodded his head "I understand." He told me.

"Carly," I turned around "I'll always be yours. Just so you know, when everyone else leaves you, I'll always be there." He told me.

I nodded my head in return and walked away.

Walking fast and not looking where I was going I ran into a rock hard chest. Nearly falling on my feet I felt arms wrap around my waist.

"Whoa, Carls. You gotta be careful." Matt told me.

"Uh huh. Says you." I said poking his chest.

"Matt!" I heard Kristy yell. We both turned around to face Kristy. Speak of the devil.

"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to go out later. Maybe for-" she was cut off by Matt.

"Listen Kristy," Matt said while holding her hands in his. I will admit I got a tad jealous "I'm over you. You can have Lorenzo because Carly broke up with him. So there's no need for you to spread rumors about her." Matt defended me.

"Who did you know I was doing it?" Kristy asked mysteriously "you told me yourself. Trust me, honey, you told me." Matt said with a wink.

Oh, my gosh! I would die to see that!! "So- Lorenzo's single right?" "Yup!" I said happily while popping the 'p'

"Okay, I guess I'll see you two around. I'm going to claim my man!" Kristy said while leaving.

I assumed she was going to look for Lorenzo but I chose to keep my mouth shut. "Well, I guess where single." Matt said while putting an arm around my shoulders. I felt my heart beat faster.

"I think we can change that." I told him. "I think we can." He said back to me giving me a kiss.

I felt his hand lay against my back while I wrapped my arm around his neck.

The bell rang and everyone left the hallway. School was done and so was the rumors hopefully.

So I guess I was a sucker and fell in love with my best friend. Huh, how cheesy does that sound?
