Chapter 16: Carly, I'm back

Lorenzo's POV

"Yes. You have it made? Great, see you then. Oh, one more thing, what hospital is Carly staying at? " I asked, thinking that she would take me back. If I get her back, I will make sure that I will do anything that I'll regret.

**flashback**

"Who's Kristy?" Carly asked looking as if she would break into tears any second. "It's not what it looks like! I-" I protested.

I felt a sharp pain. Knowing she just slapped me but I still loved her. "Oh really? Because every time you say you can't go watch a movie with me you say your busy. So were you 'busy' with Kristy?" Carly asked with glassy eyes and her voice breaking.

I heard my phone buzz. Aw shit, who's texting me, I thought. That's when I realized my phone was in Carly's hand. "Can't wait to see you tonight, baby. Also don't forget to break up with her tonight!" she read aloud and stared cold at me when she finished. "Well how about this 'baby'? We do break up!" She yelled and stormed off.

"Carly, wait!" I ran after her after a minute but I was too late. She was gone. Damn, if only I was faster. No, if only I wasn't stupid enough to cheat on her. "UGH!" I screamed in frustration.

"Hey, babe. What's wrong?" I heard a voice from behind.

Kristy. I turned around and faced her. "What're you doing here? I thought you were at your back in Oklahoma?" I asked. "Yea, I was but I went to visit you. Oh that reminds me, did you breakup with her yet?" She asked. No, she broke up with me but I'm going to make it right and breakup with you I thought.

"Kristy, I want to tell you something." I said slowly. "I'm breaking up with you." I saw tears forming in her beautiful emerald green eyes. "Is it because you love her more? What?" She asked me "I- I- I'm sorry but I can't tell you." I said while looking away from her face with disappointment in me.

"TELL ME!" She demanded. "Tell me, straight to my face. Are you leaving me for her?" She said through her clenched jaw.

"Yes." I whispered very lowly. "Alright then..." She said very quietly.

"I'm sor-" I started but was interrupted by her "No, I'm sorry. Thinking that I had a chance with you." She gave me a weak smile and walked away.

Oh, my god. What have I done? I said almost in tears. "Aw fuck. Taxi!" I called for.

Today was Carly's second last day here in Italy before Carly leaves to Oklahoma.

When I got to Carly's grandma's house, no one answered.

I noticed Carly's car was out of the driveway. The airport. I rushed over there and just when I got there.

Her flight left.

I got to the hospitable Carly was staying at and found what room she was staying at.

I did a little knock on the door. "Carly?" I asked. "Lorenzo? How'd you know that I was hear?" "Wilson told me." I replied "how did Wilson know?" She asked seriously

"I- I- I don't know but how are you feeling?" I asked "I'm feeling good. The doctor said I might have memory loss though. But it's still good to know that we're still together." Carly said.

She doesn't remember that we broke up. I could still have a chance! We're still together I thought.

"Oh, Matt." She said. Matt? "This is Lorenzo." She introduced me. "Lorenzo, this is Matt. My best friend."
