Version 2: Chapter 13: I love you but..

Carly's POV




I really hope this gets Matt's attention. Oh, crap it did! Thank you, Logan!!!


**flashback**



"So you want me to go up to Matt and ask him if he likes you?" Logan asked. "Yes! Please! Out of the kindness of your heart!" I begged.

I really like Matt as long as I could remember. But I knew I could never have a chance with him because I was so UGH back then but now I'm so WOOHOO now! You know? And since I feel completely different I feel as if I have a chance with him but I need to know if he likes me.

"Hmmmm do it out of the kindness of my heart? Hmmmmmm..... Don't you think that's a little too much to be asking? I mean come on, I'm called BAD BOY for a reason not KINDNESS BOY!" Logan said.

Dammit he makes a good point... Hmmm maybe this'll help. "But I'm begging you! Please! If I don't find out I might be lonely for the rest of my life and I'll blame you!" I said, almost breaking into sobs. "Alright, alright! Sheesh. Don't go all girly on me!" Logan said annoyed "I should get paid for something like this." He added.

"Wait, how do I tell you?" Logan asked me. "Give me a stare at me. Because I'll be dancing with Richard to get Matt's attention. You'll get it when it happens but your job is to see if Matt likes me and if it's true then just stare at me. But not like a creeper-" "I know!" Logan said impatiently.

**Flashback ends**

Oh, my gosh. Do I see tears in Matt's eyes? The last time he cried was when his dad died! I know this because we went to church together and everyone knows this at our church.

"How do you like this party?" Richard asked. "Good. How do you like it?" I asked sounding like I was interested in him but really I was interested in Matt more and I really don't care about Richard.

"It's good but you know what would be great?" Richard asked me "What?" I asked. Gosh, will Matt come over already

"If you kissed me." Richard told me. Richard was starting to close the gap between us but luckily Matt got over in time.

"Can I talk to you, inside?" Matt said and grabbed my arm. Not letting me answer but that was okay because I felt joy, happiness, so many words. All the happy words like ummm unicorn.

I felt a hand reach for my other arm. Now I was between Richard and Matt. I knew they were both willing to fight and knew they wouldn't back down. But fighting for me? This is like Bella, Edward, and Jacob from Twilight.

"What do you want with the girl, Clark?" Richard asked Matt. There wasn't much space between Matt and Richard so Matt closed the gap with a punch.

Everyone stopped what they were doing and the practically the whole school was there. Everyone is going to be talking about this.

"WHAT THE HELL MAN?!" Richard shouted at me. Now everyone completely stopped what they were doing and the music stopped. "Your not what every girl wants!" Matt yelled "what a girl really wants is a boy that'll love her no matter what she's facing and you,"

Matt said pointing my finger at Richard "aren't what a girl wants. You just know how to sugar them up and when your done with them in the end, you leave them and act as if you never knew them!"

"Wait a minute... Are you saying that you love Carly? Because-" Richard did a scoff "that's what I'm hearing! Boys and girls, this man here, Matt Clark loves this girl, Carly Parker!" Richard yelled.


I looked around and saw that all the eyes laid on Matt. I walked up to Matt and asked "Is that true?"

I wanted to make sure. I didn't want to tell him that I love him if he doesn't love me back. I don't want him to make fun of my love for him. That was too far.

"Yes.." Matt replied in a low voice. "I love you too." I said. Matt looked at my face with a smile. I had a straight face so I knew he would know the truth. "Buut-" I continued.

Now hearing 'but I love you' is completely different from 'I love you buut' and what everyone wants to hear is 'but I love you' I wanted to surprise him with a kiss so I have to make him surprise. But I knew I made him feel down again. Life isn't fair right?

"But I also love Richard.. But" I continued "I don't love him as much as I love you." With a smile I walked right up to Matt and planted a kiss on his soft lips.

Oh yea, you remember the part where I added Twilight? Yep, 2 hot guys fighting over a girl except Carly is hotter in this case instead of Kristen Stewart. My opinion anyways.
