Chapter 10: Kate's party

"We have a present for you, Kate and we really hope you like it." Zak said. "Of course I'll like it. Why wouldn't I unless.... It's a bomb." She eyed them suspiciously.

"No dummy, it's not a bomb." Logan said. The boys looked at each other and nodded their heads and stepped away. Leaving me and Kate face to face.

Oh, my gosh. She's got so gorgeous, I mentally thought. "Well, talk!" Nick said.

"H- h- h- hey Kate!" I said while doing a little wave. "C- c- c- Carly? Is that you?" She asked while being on the verge of crying. I nodded my head while also on the verge of tears. What do you expect? We're best friends and we haven't seen each other for 2 YEARS! Of course we'll cry!


"Oh, my gosh! You- you- you look so different! Straight teeth! Skinny body! And you also kept your promise!" She said so surprised "Of course I kept my promise, we're best friends, practically sisters. I could never lie to you." I replied.

"Oh I almost forgot! Here!" And handed her my present. "I... ummmmmm.... Love it?" She said confused.

It was a glass apple thing but it didn't look like a glass apple so in case she didn't like it, I got her an iPhone 5 case for a backup gift.

"Oops, wrong one! Haha, my bad. Here's the one!" I said nervously "A new case! I love it!" She said. Way more happier, might I add.

"Come on, lets go dancing! Would you care to join us boys?" Kate said.


"They probably wouldn't Kate. We're sadly not good enough for them." I said while laughing.

"Alright, we'll be on the patio aka the dance floor." Kate said.
