I do not own 'Daredevil', it belongs to Drew Goddard. I only own my characters and their plots.

Chapter one\\ - Stupid Bitch...

-"This is a little sketchy, what's the time?" Joe said, Lauren's older brother's best friend.

-"04:30 am... But Gotham wasn't home, I have always loved Hell's Kitchen, is it the air? I don't know... " Lauren spoke, she had found herself standing in a old military property, when the young soldiers came who they needed somewhere to sleep and now, Lauren needed her key to her apartment she had left with a friend many years ago.

-"You got that right" Joe said and looked at Lauren, -"There's no place like home" And he handed the young woman her key.

-"Thanks" The dark brown haired woman said and took the golden key out of Joe's hand.

Lauren opened the door to her apartment, the air filled with dust as the door swung opened, before she left, Lauren had covered all furniture with big white fabric so it would be easier to clean.

There wasn't many furniture's in Lauren's apartment. A bed, a sofa, a kitchen table and no TV and no chairs around the table.

Lauren opened the three large windows in her apartment, trying to get the 'A cat died here 20 years ago and is now hunting the place' smell out.

The clock was around 06:30 am when the place was cleaned up, no old cat smell and finally some peace. The brown haired girl had not slept in 36 hours or so, she needed sleep desperately.

'Beep. Beep. Beep' Lauren's phone shouted, the bright phone screen burned her eyes as she tried to figure out the clock 5:49 pm.

Lauren sat up in her comfortable bed but she couldn't fall asleep now, she had a case she needed to finish.

Lauren, still in her normal clothes from yesterday, stepped out of bed, her hair was naturally curled and wavy and she had no attempt to try and tame it.

The young girl grabbed her phone, gun and her wallet. Lauren worked as a private detective and used a gun in her profession.

In other words, Lauren was a bad-ass girl who had a gun but it was never loaded. She had the gun to scare the people who needed to be scared. Other than the gun training she had never fired her gun and that she was thankful for.

Lauren grabbed her back leather jacket and a piece of white paper with one name written on it with a black marker, "Mason Perry."

A guy who the police are looking for, 4 arrest warrants and he beat up his last girlfriend. So now, all Lauren had to do was find the guy, arrest him and bring him to the police station.

Lauren had to think like a bad person, like someone who was trying to hide from the police, someone who liked alcohol, someone who would spend their time in a lot of bars. Lauren just needed to find the cheapest bar in Hell's Kitchen and arrest the fucker.

The young girl walked in to a sketchy bar, and within the first minutes she spotted Mason, sitting close to the cashier.

Lauren walked over to the bar, she asked for a double whiskey. Which she drank faster than the speed of light, she placed the glass on the table but still holding the glass with one of her hands.

-" Hey sweetheart, easy on the drinks" Mason Perry said and Lauren had followed this guy for weeks now.

Lauren turned towards Mason with a smile on her lips, -"You come here often?" The private detective asked.

Mansion smiled and reached out his hand towards Lauren, -"Yes, Mason Perry and sugar what's your name?"

Lauren grabbed her handcuffs and quickly cuffed Mason's hands, the brown haired girl pressed down Mason's head on the table. -"Hi Mason, I work for the coops, sugar" Lauren said with a smile on her lips.

-"Mason Perry, I haven't seen you in a while. What the hell happened to your face?" Brett Mahoney said. He was a police officer and Lauren had known the guy since she as 4 years old.

-"Stupid bitch..." Mason mumbled and Lauren smile, -"Mason here, ran into a wall, isn't that right?"

Mason kept his mouth closed, -"Alright, I got him" Brett said and smiled.

-"You got him and I got my pay check, everything's good" Lauren smiled and handed over the Mason to Brett.

-"Wait, Lo. I got this case, a woman found in her apartment, covered in blood and standing over a dead body. She isn't talking to anyone and could you just do me this favor?" Brett asked and pointed to the integration rooms.

-"Only because you asked so nice" Lauren smiled and looked at Mason, -"Bye sugar" Lauren said in a sarcastic voice.

The con's of this type of work was that all the male characters suddenly became jackasses and idiots and they called women by pet names such as 'Sugar' which Lauren hated.

Lauren opened the door to the integration room, sitting on a metal chair was a young woman. Blonde hair and pale skin, she looked scared. The woman was sitting with handcuffs.

-"Hi, I'm Lauren Hill, private investigator. What's your name?" Lauren asked, she sat on the chair across from the young woman.

The woman didn't react she only sat quiet and looked down on to the table.

-"I know you're scared and most people think that you did this... But I don't so it would be much easier to have this conversation if you told me your name" Lauren spoke in soothing voice.

-"K-Karen P-P-Page" Karen said, she trembled on the words as she spoke them. -"You don't think I-I did this?" Karen asked.

Lauren smiled, -"I think, maybe you should start to tell me what really happened, from the beginning." Lauren said and she had this feeling in her stomach that this girl, Karen Page did not do this.

-"I was working in the financial department at Union Allied, used to anyway. And I asked this nice guy out for drinks and he said yes. So we meet up and we had a f-few drinks. And the next t-thing I knew, I-I was standing over his body and I had his blood on my hands and clothes" Karen spoke, she was terrified.

-"It's okay" Lauren smiled, and placed her hand on Karen's for comfort. -"You said, that you don't remember right?" Lauren asked and Karen nodded her head.

-"I think--" Lauren started but she was cut off by two police men walking into the interrogation room followed by two men.

Lauren stood up from the chair, close to Karen so she could still feel safe. Lauren cast another look on the two other men who had followed the two police officer into the room.

It was Foggy Nelson and Matthew Murdock.
