The morning after the Opening Ceremony Zero felt exhausted. He couldn't sleep well. There was just one thing on his mind. But eventually he did fall asleep to the music outside if his own window. Even though it was chilly and he had to use two blankets with socks on his feet Zero left the nippy air in. It adds an effect to the music outside.
When he woke up the next morning he could feel the tension of the other students. Some probably didn't even go to bed until three in the morning or so. But today is the first day of classes and like usual and breakfast starts at seven and then everyone goes to their first class at seven forty five.
While Zero was heading to the cafeteria he heard a familiar voice, but not the one he wished.
"Zero! Hold on!" Said Yuki. She sounded as though she was out of breath. They decided to sit together with Yuki's group of friends for breakfast. Once everything was settled down for a bit Yuki asked a question.
"Can I see your schedule for today?"
As Zero pulled the sheet if paper out of his pocket she snatched it away from his hand. 'Hopefully we have some classes together so then I won't get lost. I can't even read it. Why didn't they send someone to help or something, instead of a piece of printed paper?'
"Oh! We have the same exact same schedule except for one class." She said, but as she said that she sounded a bit nervous.
"Yuki? In what order are my classes for today?"
"First we have history, math, our. lunch break and then you have a free opening while I have.... orchestra."
She said the last part in a whisper that Zero almost couldn't hear her. ' At least Yuki made it in though.' Though it did upset him just a little But then Zero remembers that at the end of the week he has another chance to prove himself.
"Thank you for telling me. Also, I'm glad to hear to that you got in. You must be really good."
"Oh! No no. I'm really not that great." Yuki blurted out. "When I heard that I made it I was really shocked. It was just a lucky shot."

After there lunch break Yuki said goodbye to Zero and ran to her last class. Zero decided to go to one of the music practice rooms on the opposite side of the music hall where orchestra was going to take place in.
• Zero's Point Of View •
' I think this piece is good.' It took me about half an hour to finally decide on a song. It's a song that I learned to surprise her. My mother was my teacher. Whenever I saw her play it looked like she was not playing the music but living every single note. As though it was the last bit of her life to live. This piece was one of her most favorites and I couldn't wait to play it for her. Sadly she couldn't hear me play it.
' Here I go again. I need to focus.'
As I start tuning I think.'I haven't played this song is years. Will I be able to learn it in time? It's worth a shot.'
Going over it gave me so much emotion. 'The last time I played it was during the... no. Please don't think about it now.' Once I started to concentrate I could feel my heart give in to the emotion. 'It's like I never forgot.'
When the door opened I didn't even notice. My heart was so captivated, that it felt my soul was taken away. That it was replaced with music.
My fingers were moving at their own risk. I could feel sweet build up at my temples. The rush at the climaxes. Each note was a singular story. telling each of their tales. For only me to listen.
Then come the tears. Mixed in with sweat. It's as though she was with me at this moment. Telling me to go again and again. But then I heard the clock struck eight o'clock.
Everything went blank. It's as though the clock took me back to reality. Forcing me to come back. What surprised me was the sound of clapping. It was coming from the door. I then heard footsteps behind me, then a window opening. The cool air felt nice on my skin.
"Uhhm? Who's there? I'm sorry for staying too long, I will get going soon."
As I put my things away I heard the voice I have been waiting and longing for.
"It's only me Zero." My heart skipped ablest or two.
"How did you find me?" That was a stupid question. What is this? A romance novel!
" I heard you."
There was a pause. The only sound was the wind from outside.
"You play beautifully. Isn't that supposed to be a violin piece though?" He said with a bit of humor.
Kaname was right. It is a violin solo. But my mother loved it so much that she transcribed it for the cello.
" Yes. My mother transcribed it for the cello. Its her favorite song."
"It's too one of my favorite pieces as well. She has excellent taste I see."
"She did." I answered. I felt some heat come to my face. But also something else.
"Hm? Zero you have tears in your eyes.
"What?" As I touched me cheek I could feel them still running. I tried to wipe them thinking of an excuse.
But Kaname beat me to it. He carefully placed my arm on his shoulder and slowly wiped my tears away. My eyes were wide open, staring at him. I must have looked like a child to him. What happened next surprised me the most.
He kissed the top top of my head then, put his two fingers on the spot and said a few words in an whisper. I couldn't hear him.
" This is a charm. It's said that it takes away the sorrows of one." He answered when he finished. "Come. I will take you back to your room."
