You lay on the picnic cloth, placed on top of the soft grass. You were cuddled up with Dylan, your boyfriend, both looking at the stars above. They were beautiful, shimmering in the moonlight.
Your car had stopped in the middle while you were in your way to an actual camping ground. It didn't bother you much as the place where you were stuck looked more or less like a camping ground, minus other people.
You kissed his neck, hugging his arm more tightly. He turned, his body on top of you and kissed you on the lips. You two were alone... and you liked it.
"We'll continue this in the tent," you said seductively. You knew very well that whenever you teased him, it would make him all fuzzy inside.
"Oh I love you so much," He said and you kissed his cheek.
"Oh look! It's Polaris" You looked up in fascination. Dylan looked at you, puzzled at your statement. "It's the North Star. Polaris is its name. Isn't it pretty?" You explained, gaining a nod from Dylan.
"How do you know about stars and stuff?" Your boyfriend asked, an arm around your body. "It's from my 'Astronomy phase',"You answered, "There was a sudden time where I wanted to become an astronomer and study space and the stars. The different planets, the galaxies, the different stars in our universe. All of them fascinated me so much."
"Part of that phase was the fact that I wanted to become an astronaut as well! I still don't mind," You talked, Dylan listening closely. "That passed on and I moved on to nephology, the study of clouds. Cumulonimbus, Stratus, Cirrus. I fell in love with the clouds above, watching them all day to see what shapes they'd make," You went on.
You progressed, talking next about your 'artist phase', when painting and sketching was all you ever thought of. Then, you moved on to your 'animal phase', when animals were your best friend. You made up your mind to become a veterinarian. Then, you finally came onto your 'writing phase', amazed at your skill at portraying characters and a story by just words.
But as the childhood careers and dreams end up, you moved on, finally settling on one choice which you wouldn't change for anything.
Acting. You settled on acting.
And after you appeared in your first film with Dylan O'brien, who you now know as your boyfriend, you were sure that this was the job for you. This was your passion.
Dylan stared at you face. He didn't say a word, only smile and tighten his grip on your hand.
"What?" You asked, a bit unsettled due to his lack of response. "You're amazing. You're so talented, I don't have that many skills or likings," Dylan said.
You smiled, loving the attention he was giving you, not that he doesn't give you enough.
"A shooting star! Quickly, make a wish!" You announced and sat up. Dylan leaned back on his arms and thought for a second. He shut his eyes and made his wish.
He lay back down, you did the same, and went back to star gazing. "What did you wish for?" You asked. "If I tell you, it wouldn't come true," he replied.
Little did you know, he wished for a lifetime with you, settling down and maybe having a family.
"Do you even believe in that stuff?" You said. He kissed your hand.
"No... but it's worth the shot."
