"So where are we going?" You ask as you sip on a cup of hot chocolate. Your boyfriend grins, "Somewhere you'll like."

It is freezing, snow everywhere. It is snowing lightly right now too. You love cold weather. Wearing thick and warm jackets and sweaters, scarfs and your favorite: winter hats. Right now, you are wearing all three pieces of clothing.

Dylan stops the car in a parking space next to a pile of snow. You get out of the car, immediately hit by a strong, cold blow of wind. You shiver, and wrap your arms around your body.

Hands held on to the sides of your arms. "Cold?" Dylan says with concern, "Want my jacket." You shake your head and smile, "I'm fine... Just been sitting in a warm car for too long."

He smiles and holds your hand. You both walk past heaps of snow and on an icy pathway. You are just about to ask where you both are headed when you see it.

There are so many people. Talking, laughing and having fun. They are all ice skating.

"OH MY GOD DYLAN!" You squeal in excitement, "We're going ice skating?!" Dylan smirks, "Yes... Yes we are. You like it?"
"Oh my God I love you!" you jump onto him, hugging tightly, "I LOVE ice skating!" Dylan kissed your head, "Anything for my girl."

"How come I didn't know about this place?" You ask as you make your way to the skates counter. "Well... They found it this winter. The lake was frozen solid and safe to skate on so they thought they could make it a thing," Dylan explains.

"Who's 'they'?" You question. "Robert told me that one of his family members, cousin, started it. He knows how much you love skating," Dylan answer and you smile.

"Of course it was Robert," You say with realization. Robert is one of you and Dylan's best friends.

You and your boyfriend got your skates and put them on. You wobble a bit, even though you roller skate every now and then and ice skate at least once every winter. You conclude it's probably how excited you are.

Well... There's a story.

Dylan isn't exactly the 'skating type'. To be brutally honest, he's not so great. But he'd do anything for you.

"Are you sure you want to go on the ice?" You question. Dylan stood up and put his hands on his hips, "Yes." You look at him hesitantly. "Are you sure?" You repeat.

"I'm a hundred and one percent sure. Don't worry," He reassures, but you're not that convinced.

You think of the time when Dylan stopped so abruptly and hard that a crack was made on the ice, and the time when he thought he was an amazing skater and tried to at the highest speed. He fell flat on his face. You had to tend to his bruises and scrapes for a few days. You didn't overlook the countless times he fell by just standing still.

A smile curls on your lips. Dylan holds your hand and pulls you towards the ice rink. You hold onto his hand tightly, not because of you falling but for him.

He slips a bit but you bring him back up straight. "I'm good. You can go if you want," Your boyfriend says. You raise your eyebrows, which indicates a 'really?'. Dylan nods. You smile and kiss his cheek.

You skate like you haven't before. This is your first time ice skating this year... And you love it. You speed past many other people, who just watch you go by.

You jump in the air and change your orientation, skating backwards now. You wave at Dylan, who smirks.

That's my girl, he thinks.

You increase your speed, twirling around, skating from corner to the next, doing laps. You feel bad for leaving Dylan so when you approach him in your current lap, you grab his hands and pull him towards you.

At first he was unsteady but when when you place his arms around your waist, it works perfectly. You snake your hands around his neck.

Now your skating speed much slower, you look into his hazel eyes. "You're really good at skating, [y/n]. Not that I didn't know that but..." Dylan says and you kiss him.

"You're not that bad too," You say, "You haven't fallen yet, and that's progress!" Dylan looks proud. "Yeah? Yeah! I haven't fa-"

Dylan raises his arms in the air, which makes you two unstable. You aren't able to balance and you both fall on top of each other.

People around you stop, staring and approaching to help. You roll of Dylan, laughing your heart out. You have tears in your eyes. Once everyone around you sees that you're okay, they continue their skating.

"Sorry about that," Dylan says, rubbing his neck. "You're such a dork," You say between laughs.
