"Listen to me for one second Dylan! I can't do everything around here!" You yelled at your husband who had frustration written all over his face.

You both had been fighting on a daily basis. You didn't like it at all, and neither did he. You both just didn't have the same spark you had when you fell in love or got married. It had gone somewhere... temporarily.

"What do you mean 'do everything around here'? I play my part just as much as you do!" He retaliated. You sighed, "Eating a bag of chips while watching 'America's Top Funniest Home Videos' instead of spending time with your children is playing your part huh?"

Dylan ran a hand through his hair. You shut your eyes, wishing this would stop. You smiled with disbelief. "You know... you forgot to pick [y/d/n] from her piano class," You revealed, which caught Dylan attention. "What?" He whispered.

You rubbed your forehead, "The school called me saying that her class ended half an hour ago and no one has come to pick her up."

"[y/n], I'm so sorry. I..." You husband couldn't form any words. "Sorry?! Don't say sorry to me, say sorry to her!" You yelled. Dylan was about to respond, but you were faster.

"I am done," You said, heartbroken, "I'm done working my ass off and not getting anything in return. They aren't MY children, they're OUR children, Dylan. I think we need to take some time-"

There was a sound of a plastic object falling. You both turned your heads to where the sound came from. You sighed as you listened to the silence.

"[y/d/n], [y/s/n]..." you started and Dylan finished, "We know you're there guys."

Two children walked from the shadows into the living room, heads down. You're daughter is 10 and your son is 5. "Are you both separating?" [y/d/n] questioned. You looked at Dylan then knelt down.

You gestured for your daughter to walk up to you. You rubbed her shoulders and smiled. "No honey, of course not! Mommy and daddy love each other a lot," You answered.

Dylan was holding your son, "We just have... different views on a topic." The family fell quiet until your son spoke

"Mommy and daddy love each other but do you... love us?" Your son asked, as he fidgeted with his hands. You glanced at Dylan who looked just as hurt as you did.

"Of course we do! We love you both more than anything," Dylan replied and tickles your son. You smiled at his adorable laughter.

"If you did love us... you wouldn't fight and shout," You daughter stated, leaving you and Dylan speechless. You could feel tears forming in your eyes.

Dylan noticed. He always noticed.

"Could you give us 5 minutes?" He requested as you stood up and faced the other way to hide your teary eyes. Dylan kissed your son and daughter on the head and you heard them walk off.

You felt hands on your shoulders. You reached up to a tear rolling down your cheek and wiped it away. You turned around and broke down into your husband's chest.

"Shh, it's okay. I'm here," Dylan said as he rubbed your back. "I don't... want this anymore. It hurts too much," you managed to say between sobs.

You looked up into the eyes you fell in love with 12 years ago. "I was thinking of taking some time off and going separate ways for a while, but I don't think I'd survive that anymore," You told.

Dylan wiped the tears of your face. Seeing you cry was making him emotional too. You're a strong and confident individual, you don't cry easy.

"We'll get through this. One step at a time," Dylan said, "We have to... For them."

You continued to stare into his hazel eyes. He moved closer and kissed you on the lips.

You missed that. He hadn't done it in weeks. You missed the fuzzy feeling it gave you. You felt in love once again, the spark lighting up.

You pulled away, wanting more but needing to breath more importantly. "I love you," You said and wrapped your arms around his neck.

"I love you too," He said.

At this moment, you felt like it could work... It would work. Everything would be fine and back to the way it was.
