Mark My Words

Chapter 26

"We're almost there!" Cameron said.

'Damn! He seems more excited than me and Mark, and he's already met all of the boys!' you thought.

"Cameron, why are you so excited?" Mark asked.

"Oh, um, no reason?" He said, sounding as if he was trying to convince himself as well.

You then approached a door that was covered with a sign that said "EMPLOYEES ONLY!"

"We're here!" Cameron announced.

He took a key out of his pocket and opened the door with the sign covering it. Beyond the door was a long hallway that then split off into two directions; left and right. You walked down the hallway with Mark by your side, following Cameron.

After Cameron leading you and Mark down the wrong hallway, you finally arrived backstage, where the rest of the MagCon crew was.

Then your eyes met Jacobs.

You stared at each other for about a minute until he got up from his chair and walked over to you.

"Y/n? Is that you?" He asked.

You felt tears start forming in your eyes. You looked at him. Even though it hadn't been too long, it seemed as if Jacob had grown since the last time you spoke with him.

"Yeah, it's me" you said, opening your arms to give him a hug.

He went into your open arms and wrapped his arms around your back. After he let go, he noticed Mark was behind you.

"Mark? I haven't talked to you in so long!" he said as he gave Mark the 'bro hug.' (omg bro hug wtf anyways back to the story)

"Hey Jacob, how's it going?" Mark asked, but with a slight tone of annoyance.

You gave him a puzzled look, but he just shrugged and continued talking to Jacob. You decided to go introduce yourself to everyone else in the room. You first walked up to Aaron.

"Hi, I'm y/n." you said as you held your arm out for him to shake it.

"We don't shake hands here" he said with a chuckle. "We're a family, we greet people with hugs." As he said that, he pulled you into a big hug.

"Oh and by the way, we all already know who you are." He said as he let you go.

"Really?" you asked, more towards the whole group than just Aaron in particular.

A boy, who you recognized as Blake, came up to you.

"Yeah, Jacob talks about you all the time" he whispered in your ear.

"Wait, what? No, that can't be true. Me and him haven't talked for months!" you said.

"Well, the way he talks about you makes it seem like you and him talk everyday." Blake said.

"It also kind of seems like he has a crush on you." Hunter said as he walked over to you and Blake.

That didn't surprise you. When you and Jacob did talk, he admitted that he had a crush on you, multiple times. He always wanted you and him to be together.

"Oh" was all you said before going back towards Cameron, who was now dressed in his regular clothes instead of the ones he wore outside when he talked to you and Mark.

"Hey Cam, is there any water here?" you asked him.

"Um, yeah actually. The fridge is over there and the waters should be on the left side, I believe." He said as he pointed you in the direction of the fridge.

"Ok, thanks. Do you want some water?" you asked.

"No I'm fine, but thank you." he said.

"No problem."

You walked back to where the rest of the group was, which now included Mark and Jacob.

"I'm going to get water, do any of you guys want me to get you some, too?"

"No thanks, we're all good. We ate before we came here so we'll be fine. Thanks for asking though." Jacob said.

You nodded your head and then began walking towards the fridge that Cameron had pointed out for you.

As you were about to open the fridge, you heard someone behind you. You turned around and luckily, it was only Mark.

"Hey babe, did I scare you?"

"A little" you said, turning back around and opening the fridge.

You grabbed two water bottles, one for you and one for Mark, and closed the fridge.

"Babe"

"Yeah Mark?"

"What do you think of Jacob, now that you've seen him after these past couple of months."

You thought about it for a second before answering. "I think he's great. He's still the same old Jacob I remember talking to before MagCon. He's not 'hollywood' like some people say he is."

"I agree." Mark said, smiling. "I thought he'd be different but, he's the same as when we used to hang out, and it's great!"

You smiled at Mark before handing him his water bottle and walking back over towards the group of boys, who have now managed to destroy the whole backstage waiting area while they wrestled each other.

You laughed a little before getting out your phone and recorded then wrestling on Snapchat. Then Bart came in. You expected him to yell at the boys for messing everything up, but instead, he said;

"The champion of whatever wrestling match you guys are having has to wrestle me after."

You were a bit shocked, but laughed it off. You watched as Cameron beat everybody and was now about to go up and wrestle Bart.

You saw how when Cameron was wrestling with the other boys, he didn't have to use that much strength, since most of the boys are pretty weak. Now with Bart, Cameron actually had to use a lot of his strength so he can try and beat Bart.

After about ten minutes of back and forth wrestling with Bart and Cam, Cameron eventually won and was rewarded with a bottle of water, which he chugged up almost instantly.

"Ok guys, get ready, it's showtime in five minutes" Bart said.

Everyone of the boys started to fix their hair, straighten out their clothes, which were now all wrinkled from wrestling, and they all put on cologne. Now it was showtime.
