It looks like the fight will never end between Sam Winchester and the devil himself, Lucifer.
"When the fires, when the fires have surrounded you
With the Hounds of Hell comin' after you
I've got blood, I've got blood on my name."
~The Brothers Brig...
Dean looked like he wanted to say something but nothing came from his mouth. "The what?" Dean finally managed to say.
"You are Sam's protector, are you not?" She raised an eyebrow at Dean. "Well yeah, I guess." "Excuse me, but shouldn't we get back to buissness?" Lucifer cut in. There was a flicker of hate in her eyes as she looked at Lucifer, but it quickly faded. "Ah, yes, thank you. Now Sam, there is an opening to Cyris once every thousand years, we have ten days until that opening and if we don't destroy Cyris on that day than the world that you know will cease to exist." "Why me? Isn't there anyone else who could do this?" Dean just looked at us in confusion, I just wanted this meeting to be over. "It is foretold that Lucifer's blood must enter but not Lucifer's flesh, Sam, you are Lucifer's true vessel and you're the only one who can withstand the power of demon blood." "Whoa, he's not drinking anybodies blood, that's not going to happen." Dean made it clear that he wasn't going to be bargined with. "Dean, I understand that you are concerned for Sam's safety, but I can assure you, he will walk away from this." Belladonna gently reassured him. "Of course he will, but what will it cost? Sam loosing his sanity over this addiction? I've seen where this road leads before and I'm not gonna let him go through that again!" Dean didn't yell but his voice turned synical. Belladonna's face hardened, her eyes changed to a dark shade of purple, almost black. Lucifer chuckled to himself, watching the scene unfold. "Watch your tone boy, I would not have awakened from my eons of slumber if the situation was not dire and I did not ask for your permission or your opinion for that matter, I brought you here to be helpful! Not to be a distraction!" Thunder clapped loudly outside, the windows began to be pelted by thick rain drops. "I'll do it." I whispered out. "What?!" Dean, Belladonna and Lucifer said in unison. Dean and Belladonna turned and looked at me with unbelieving eyes, Lucifer got down from his seat and stood beside Belladonna, also unable to believe what he had just heard. "I said I'll do it." I repeated. "Sam no-" "Dean, this is the end of the world we're talking about, we have to put that first. Not me...or you." I could feel the guilt spread across my face, looking at Dean, he looked like I had just shot him.
Dean left the room in a fit of rage, stomping out into the storm. "Dean!" I shouted after him. "What the hell Sam! You just signed up to be Satan's bitch again!" "That's not true, he's not going to posses me - Dean I don't see how you can be so pissed about this, we have a chance to save the world again and it's a chance we should take!" "It's not 'we', Sam it's you! With a woman we know nothing about and Lucifer, who we know wants to see us dead!" We were drenched by the rain, I started to shiver as the cold began to seep through my jacket. "Sometimes you have to deal with schetchy people to get the job done, I mean how many times have we teamed up with Crowley? Now you can either stand by me or try to stop me but just know that either way, I'm going to do this." "I don't know what she did to you but this is not my brother talking." Dean's face was cold and hard, mine was heated from anger.
"You're only saying that because you don't agree with my choice! Dean, it's my choice! I'm not some little kid you can push around, anymore! Now you can either come back inside with me or you can leave!" Lighting crawled across the sky, followed by another thunder clap, we just stood there, in the pouring rain, staring at each other, it seemed like we had been standing here for an eternity. He searched my eyes, looking for the chance that I would change my mind, apparently he didn't like what he saw because for a moment he couldn't look me in the eye.

Finally without saying a word, Dean turned around and got into the Impala. As he started the car, I turned my back to him and walked back into the building. The atmosphere was different than it was earlier. Lucifer and Belladonna were quietly talking to each other when I rentered the room. They stopped and looked at me. Cold and angry, I stared at them for a moment. "What do I need to do?" I finally asked.
Lucifer didn't stick around that much after that night, never spoke to me once actually. I don't know what it was but when I was with Belladonna, nothing else really mattered, it was always calm, peaceful. It was actually fun to teach her about this world and in return she would teach me about what the world was like before she went to sleep. But it couldn't always be like that, the day we were going to destroy Cyris was getting closer. So I would drink demon blood and practice using the "gifts" it gave me.
I hadn't heard from Dean in days, but as the days went by the less I cared, the more focused and determined I became. Six days before the big day, Belladonna came to me with a serious problem. "Sam, I just found another thing you will need to help you destroy Cyris." "What is it?" I asked, looking at a playground from the park bench we were sitting at. "Well it involves killing Lucifer." "What?" "His bones are the key for you to enter, we will collect his blood for you to drink and then use him for the key." "How are we going to do that?" "That's the tricky part, we need a piece of Adam, your brother, particularly of his ribcage. Once we have that, than we just need to pierce his heart with it." She looked at me with concern. "Where would we get that? I mean I don't even know where Adam is, or if he's alive." "Your brother Adam is dead, he has been for years now and he's in the same place he's been in for those years, I think you know it well." "The cage?" "The cage." "I thought it was destroyed." "Something of that magnitude can never fully be destroyed, Sam." "So I have to go back, in the cage, with Lucifer?" I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. "I'm so sorry Sam, but it has to been done." She said as she stroked the side of my face, pity in her eyes, now a light shade of purple. I nodded, knowing it was the only way to do what needed to be done.

"Okay. " I whimpered out as tears streamed down my face, as the tears fell, my thoughts raced. What have I gotten myself into?
