Chapter Ten-A Tough Battle And A Wise Choice

Star's POV
"Marco! What happened to you?" I asked, as I rested his head on my lap.
"Heh heh...Just got in a little fight...Sorry Star, but can you handle the rest?" He asked, smiling at me.
I nodded.
"Sure. Plus, I have something important to tell you later on" I replied, smiling.
"Okay then, you should probably finish this fight up quickly then"
I took out my wand and placed my yellow star-shaped pouch underneath Marco's head.
"Yeah, I'll be right back, Marco" I smiled, getting up and walking towards Jackie.

"Oh, I'm so honoured that the princesess would come to greet me, personally" Jackie sniggered.
"I'm giving you five seconds to get out of here, Jackie" I said, seriously, a light breeze picked up, making my long blond hair blow in the slight wind.
"Again with your empty threats...Are they your family's specialty or something?"
I pointed my wand in Jackie's direction, as my weapon glowed a bright pink.
"Actually, forget those five seconds. I'll finish you off here!" I shouted, as Jackie ran towards me.
"Bring it Butterfly! Let me squash you, like the bug you are!" She chuckled.

"Rainbow Sparkle Explosion!" I hollered, as small, multiple brightly-coloured explosions eruppted around Jackie, raising a huge dustcloud.
I watched the large, grey cloud intently, waiting to see any movement.
After about a minute of waiting, I decided that Jackie had been defeated, so I turned back around to face Marco.
"See that, Diaz? That's just goes to show how powerful my wand is!" I announced, smiling proudly.
I wasn't expecting Marco to still be staring at the dustcloud, but he was just lying there, eyes narrowed, watching; as if he were waiting for something to happen...
The bruenette suddenly turned to me and shouted: "Star! Move! Now!"
His sudden outburst alerted me almost, instantly.

My body automatically reacted to his warning and I jumped to the left on instinct, avoiding three throwing knives, which flew over Marco's head and exploded in the distance!

I span back around to see Jackie standing there, in the cloud, which was now clearing.
Her clothes were ripped in some places and her face was plastered with dirt, the look in her eyes were wild, crazy and even a little bit scary...
"That all you got, Butterfly?" She asked, grabbing a knife with a glowing blade. "How about this? One Hundred Knife Barrage!"
She threw the single, glowing knife and muttered a few words, causing the knife to turn into a couple hundred!

I dashed towards Marco and pointed my wand at the oncoming attack.
"

Shimmering Diamond Shield!" I shouted, as my wand glowed a silvery blue colour, making a shiny, sky-blue diamond dome that wrapped around the two of us, causing the knives to get repelled.

"Hah! You fell for it!" Jackie shouted, triumphantly from behind me.
I turned around in shock.
'Oh no! When did she get behind me?' I thought, in terror.
She raised a knife over her head and brought it down on me.
There was no time for me to react to her attack...
It was all over now...
I squeezed my eyes shut and braced myself for the attack, but it never came...

When I opened my eyes, I saw Marco with Jackie's blade in his right forearm, groaning in pain.
"S-Star! Do it!" He screeched, loudly.
I immeadiatly caught on to his plan.
"Blinding Bubble Blast!" I shouted, shooting a huge spray of bubbles in Jackie's face.
I pulled out my Dimemsional Scissors and made a rip through space, grabbed Marco's good arm and yanked him through the portal.

Phew...we'd managed to get away...
Just.

Jackie's POV
I wiped the annoying, persistent bubbles from my face and looked around.
'Hm...looks like they got away...' I thought to myself, as I stood up. ' A wise choice, Princess Butterfly. Very wise, indeed'

Well, if Star can't even handle me alone, there's no way that she'll be able to handle the other three members of our alliance.

She's good as dead and that idiotic princess knows it.
I'm interested to see how long she and that Earth Turd will survive for...
