Chapter One- An Unexpected Arrival

Marco's POV
"Hiiiyah! Wataaaah!" I hollered, just as I karate chopped a giraffe-like monster.
Just how long had I been doing this? Fighting evil monsters from another dimension, that is.

My eyes followed a blond girl, who had massive light blue eyes, long blond hair that fell to her knees and weird cheeks that nearly almost always had hearts on them.

Star Butterfly. A real life princesses from the far away dimension, Mewni.

Ever since Star came into my life, about two months ago, things got crazy.
Really crazy.
Like laser puppy, monster fighting, dimension-hopping crazy!
"Marco! Behind you!" Star shouted, turning in my direction.
I automatically span around and blocked a punch from one of Ludo's monsters, stopping it's attack instantly.
"Thanks Star!" I shouted back towards her, as I nailed the disgusting creature with a powerful kick to its stomach.
"Heh! Heh! Don't worry about it Marco!" She grinned, turning to face two more monsters. "Eat this! Narwhal Blast!"

"Okay, okay...You all know the drill! Get back in the stupid portal!" Ludo muttered, as his ten badly beaten monsters shuffled through a swirling dark green portal.
"Looks like you've lost again, Ludo!" Star said, smiling triumphantly with her hands placed on her hips. "How long did that take this time? 10 minutes?"
"I don't know and I don't even care. I'm over it already..." the ugly, green kappa-like monster replied, following his fiends into the portal.
Ludo stepped into the portal, just as it zapped out of exsistence.
I sighed a breath of relief.
"You would have thought that they would've given up by now" Star said, turning back to me.
I shrugged.
"Monsters will always be monsters, I guess..." I replied, truthfully.
"Oh well! Nachos, Marco?"
"You know it!"

I picked up a delicous-looking nacho, drenched in stretchy, stringy orange cheese and threw it in my mouth.
Star chewed, happily, wolfing down her meal.
"This..." she began, through mouthfuls of nachos. "Is still the best Earth food I've ever tasted! Marco, you rule at making nachos!"
I smiled, proudly.
"Well, they are my specialty!"
"Oh yeah, so listen: Have you finally asked Jackie out yet?"
"H-Huh? Where'd that come from?!?"
"Answer the question!"
"No, course not! I can barely breathe when I'm in the same room as Jackie, so it's literally impossible for me to hold a normal conversation with her!"
"Oh Marco, you won't get Jackie with that attitude! Ooooo, I can just cast a spell real quick and-"
"Nope! No spells! No magic! No anything!"
"Not even Narwhal Blast?"
"Especially not Narwhal Blast!"
"Why not?"
"For several reasons"
"But..."
"Nope!"

It went quiet as Star and I continued munching our nachos.
Well, until Star broke it, literally a minute later.
"Uhm...Marco?" She began.
"No" I replied, on instinct.
"Marco?"
"No"
"Marco!"
"What, Star? I'm not letting you use magic on Jackie and me"
"Uh...well, if we're talking Jackie, then she's right behind you"
"Hah! I'm not falling for that one!"

"Sup, Marco" came a fammiliar, Jackie-like voice from behind me.
I slowly turned around, until I locked eyes with my crush.
"J-J-Jackie...?" I spat out.
"Hey Marco. Hope you don't mind if I crash with you and Star for a couple of days" she smiled.
"C-Crash?"
"Yeah, as in stay over"

My brain could barely retain that information!
Jackie-Lynn-Thomas was staying at my house?!?
