Chapter Two-Girl's Talk

"W-What is this all about?!?" I asked my happy-go-lucky parents, who were wheeling their suitcases into the living room. "Wait. What're those suitcases for?"
"But Marco, We couldn't just leave Jackie on her own, you see?" Dad replied, grining. "Her parents are moving away, because of work"
"Oh. How long for?"
"About five months" Mom replied, stuffing her clothes into a suitcase.
"That's quite a long time..."
"Yeah, so we thought that we could just let Jackie live here till then"
"Well, I guess we have no reason to refuse her"
"Oh yeah, your father and I are going on a trip around the world for a while, so look after the house, okay Marco?"
"Huh? Sure...Wait, what?!?"
"Thanks! Come on honey, we'll miss our flight!"

My two spontaneous parents rushed out of the door after waving me goodbye, whilst I just stood there, blinking; confused as heck.
About a minute later, Princess Butterfly wandered into the room, looking around for something or other.
"Were those your parents just leaving, Marco?" She asked, leaning over the back of the sofa, continuing her search.
"Yeah. Said that they were going on a trip around the world or something..." I sighed.
"Sounds like fun! We should've gone too!"
"And leave Jackie all by herself?"
"Oh yeah. I kind of forgot about her"

Was that...? I'm pretty sure that I was hearing things, because I think I just picked up the tiniest hint of jelously in Star's voice...

No way! I must be crazy or something!

"So, where're am I bunking, Diaz?" Jackie asked, walking into the room.
"U-Uhm...well, I..."
I really wanted for Jackie to be in my room, but I probably wouldn't be able to handle that and neither would she...
"Heya, Roomie!" Star shouted happily, ensnaring Jackie in a tight hug, which pretty much decided the rooming arrangements.
"W-Well, from the looks of it, I guess you'll be in Star's room, Jackie..." I continued, smiling shyly.
"Oh, that's cool. I've always been interested to see what a Mewni princess's room looks like, anyways" Jackie replied.
"Well then, let me blow your mind!" Star shouted, excitedly, taking Jackie's hand and running upstairs to her room.
'Well, at least those two are getting along' I thought, happily.

Star POV'S
"THIS..." I began, swining back my bedroom door. "IS MY ROOM!"
I'd purposely left all of my extra cute things lying around, to try and make my room seem more amazing.
I'd left the laser puppies on my bed, but they'd pratically burnt through it by now, though; using my magic, I'd made all my adorable stuffed toys able to move around on their own too. I really hoped Jackie liked it...

"Wow, this room is exactly like you, Star!" She chuckled, sitting on my bed and petting one of the puppies.
"I know, right? Isn't it amazing?" I replied, excitedly. "Oh, hang on. Let me magic up a bed for you"
"Yeah, sure"
"Bouncing Rainbow Bed!" I shouted, summoning a soft, comfortable bed with a rainbow-coloured duvet and matching pillow.
I grinned at it, happily.
"Hmmm...so cute!" I giggled, as Jackie walked down and sat on it.
"It's perfect! Thanks, Butterfly" she smiled.
"No problemo! I'll go and get something for us to drink, okay?"
"Oh, sorry about that"
"It's alright, you're the guest here after all"
"Yeah, and so are you!"
"Oh right! I totally forgot!"
We both broke into a fit of laughter, until I just managed to stop myself.

Just.

"Hey Star, is that a picture of you and Diaz over there?" Jackie asked, pointing a photo-booth picture Marco and I had taken together.
I'd framed it and everything.
My left arm was over Marco's shoulder, pulling him closer; so that our cheeks were touching.
Both of us were wearing happy grins on our faces.
"Yeah. Isn't it cutest thing ever?" I replied happily, as I recalled the precious memory.
Jackie nodded, nervously.
"Say, Star..." she began, a little shakily. "Can I get your opinion on sonething?"
"Sure! What is it, Amigo?"

"What would you think if I told you that I like Marco?"
