I when nana was dressed again. I looked at her. "Do you like it here?" I asked. She just looked at me. "Do you ever feel, uncomfortable ?" I asked. She scratched her head. "Ya sometimes. But it is just because it is a new place" she said. "What about feeling like your being watched?" I asked. She looked at me again. "What? Not really. Why? " "just wondering" I said and look away. She walked back to the bathroom to fix her hair. Tomorrow we were supposed to go rafting.
I laid down and looked at the ceiling. So Bernie saw me in Abby's room. Great. But I am going to have a serious talk with him about the events going on and why would he even let people stay here if this place is haunted? "What do you want for supper" nana asked ruining my thoughts. I thought it was stupid that only breakfast was served here. But I wouldn't eat it anyway. "I don't care" I said. "What about pizza?" "Sure" I said. She poked her head in. "We'll get my purse. stay here! And I will be back with it." She said. I got up and grabbed her blue bag.
She left. It was another chance. I looked out the door. I didn't see Bernie. I didn't bring anything with me but I slowly made my way back to Abby's room. As I approached the door something different was on it. When I was about 6feet away I saw it was a chain. He had chained the door off from me!! I went up to it. Well now I need a key. And this is stupid. I turned around to walk back when a man from a room in this floor saw me. "Hey. Are you new here?" He asked. "No" I said. "Oh. Wait, you are downstairs right?" "Yes why?" "Nothing I just never seen you" he said and walked on. I followed him down the stairs passed him and went to my room. Just as I was placing my hand on my door, a hand was placed on my back. I flenched and quickly turned. Bernie. "Why did you go back up there?" He said. This was it. No more games.
"You know real we'll why I went up there" I said. He frowned. "We'll young lady, going in other people's rooms as against the rules. You an be kicked out if you do it again" he said. "It is not occupied by anyone" I said. He just looked at me. "It don't matter. Now why we're you up there?" He said again.
"Abby. I was up there for Abby." I said. He faked a gasp. "Oh please. Stop!! Just stop! You know damn well that people died here!" I said. His face turned red. I mean bloodshot red. "IF YOU EVER... EVER SAY THAT...." He scolded. I gave him a look to kill. "Come outside" he said not directly to me but I know that was what his intentions were, I followed him outside.
"How did you know?" He said. "Isn't it obvious? The atmosphere in this place in unbelievable." I said. "Oh so you are just physic?" (Now I don't know if I fully mentioned but I could always tell what was going to happen or what was going on just randomly. It was a gift I guess. I always had a way if knowing what people have been through and ghosts are common to me like the back of my hand to talk to and see )
"that don't matter" I said. "These people are in here and they need to be freed. But something or someone is holding them back from doing so." I said . He looked at me. "No" he said. "They are not harming anything" he said looking down. "No. They were waiting for the right person that knew what they was doing to come around. And now what I am here they are ready" I said. He looked at me like I was mental. "Do you know about the tunnels?" I said. And here came his anger. "The what?! You been snooping in the rooms!!!" "THEY WANTED ME TO!" I screamed back at him. He stood up and grabbed the table outside and flipped it over. "WHY ARE YOU BEING SUCH A PAIN!?" He screamed back. My temper went over the roof. I was going to do anything I could to help these people!!!
"haha ME? A PAIN!?" I said. He came walking to me with hate in his eyes. Out of NO WHERE Edward appears in front of him and he stops. "What the.." He says. "Edward!" I say. Bernie looked at me. I run over and look Edward in the eyes. "He wants you to leave. You need to" he said. "Why?" I could not believe this was happening. "There is nothing there!!!" Bernie complains. "Yes. Edward is" I say and turn back to him. "Joey is coming" he said and vanished. My eyes widened and I looked at Bernie. "You have to get everyone out of this house!" I said.
"Are you crazy ?" he said. "Joey is coming back. !" I said. "Who?" I let out a half growl half sigh. "DEMONS ARE IN THIS HOUSE" I say. Bernie throws his head back and laughs. "Little girl, little girl. You better go back in" he says. "But Bernie! This place is going to be a living hell!" I said. He ignored me. Things were not looking good. This house was going to be turned upside down, and all the innocent people in it would have to be put through it.
