Defeat
I got up from the ground and looked around still holding the small cross from my necklace in the air. "I demand you to leave these people alone! Leave this house!" I said walking to the middle of the room again. My stomach was hurting where I had been pushed down. As I was walking up to the desk all the candles went out. All but one of them. The sixth candle.
"JUST LEAVE THIS HOUSE!" I screamed. Again I was hit in the stomach. I felt a huge heat wave go through my body and I stumbled back and got on my hands and knees and vomited. When I gained my strength back I slowly stood up holding onto the wall for support. "I'm the name of JESUS CHRIST leave now! Joey, Steve, leave now! You are no longer welcome here anymore!" I tumbled my way over to the candles and took the lit one and relit the rest. I took the holy water in the bowl and started spraying it around the room. There was again the ear piercing scream I heard just days before.
I wanted to badly to just leave. To just stop, but I couldn't. I had to stay. I was going to die trying. "You are not welcome here!" I kept saying. I walked back the brick wall. "If you will not leave willingly, I will make you!" I said. I went to my backpack and pored all of the holy water in the bowl. I started drawing crosses on the walls with it. I was in every corner . Trying my best.
I put it on the desk. On the books and floor. Everywhere I could. "In Gods name I demand you to get out!" I said again and again. I stood there with sweat going down my neck and back, going over the scratches. "No!" I heard a low rumble voice say. "Yes!" I spat back. I held on to the table for support. "If you don't get out I will kill you with what you came here with!" I said. I felt something behind me. I turned around.
The best way to describe what I saw was everything the devil saw in his nightmares, put together into a thing. A demon. Into Steve. I felt my heart speed up as I looked at this creature. It's black outline with a distorted face and long fingered hands. "Leave" it said sounding like 20 people saying it together. I was speechless. I should have said ok and ran but I stood up, grabbed the holy water, and sprayed him with it. He stood there and smiled, showing his sharp gray smile. I did it again with no success.
I ran over the the other side of the room and grabbed the cross that flew out of my hand and turned back around to face the creature but it was gone. The room was silent. The only sound of my breathing. I looked around. This was a trick. I covered my mouth so I would not scream, for I knew my fear would give it power.
"Our Father, which art in heaven,Hallowed be thy Name.Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, But deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom,The power, and the glory,For ever and ever.Amen." I said still looking around. I was about to walk to the wall when every and I mean everything in the room came crashing down on me. Books, the desk, bookshelves, the candles, everything.
The fire from the candles started to catch the books on fire. I tried to crawl my way out of the pile but couldn't. I started to panic. I was going to burn alive here. I starter to kick my feet hoping something would give. The fire grew bigger and I felt it start getting close to my arm. I kicked even more until I finally got the desk to slide off of me. I climbed my way out of the books through the fire. My shirt caught fire on the side. I threw my EMF monitor out of my pocket and cross the room as I started rolling on the floor.
I don't know how but I put the fire out with out being to badly burnt. My shirt was almost gone and my tank top under it was still holding on my a few thick patched of cotton. I went over to wall and looked around to see if I could see anything. I didn't and ran over to my backpack and EMF monitor and stood there. "Is that all you have? I am still here!" I said. I heard the scream right in front of me. My ears ringing as the sound echoed.
I closed my eyes and felt a cool breeze over me. I opened them. Though I didn't see anything, I knew it was Edward. He was in front of me. I took a step forward. The fire had made its way to the carpet burning with fury. I realized the scream was the demon. He was trapped in the fire. Just like I wanted. If you don't get out I will kill you with what you came here with.
I watched as the fire came towards me. "In the name of Jesus Christ I demand to to be sent back to Hell" I said one last time as I saw the fire go up in a blazing explosion as it screamed. Joey and Steve. I pressed against the wall as it tired around. I was out of the room. I sat with my back against the wall. The air was cool and misty. I got up, letting the fire burn behind me.
I had to do one last thing. "Where " I said. I knew Edward could hear me. "Last door" I heard a voice say. I turned around and saw Drew. My eyes lit up. His glow bright. It was then I knew. Edward was not the one who stood in front of me. It was Drew. He was watching me as a angel should, and bless his heart he was one. He was the only one who had passed. I remembered Edward saying so.
I watched as he walked in front of me lighting the way. I followed until we got to another door. I swallowed and turned to thank Drew but he was no longer behind me. I took a deep breath as I turned the knob. The room was small with yellow walls and white floor. I looked around until I saw what I was led here for. I was Edward. I was Abby and Drew and Anne. Their bones intertwined. I could tell they were pulled up on top of each other.
I covered my mouth and turned my back. I got on my knees, and cried.
